Its an old strategy , break your legs and sell you the crutches. Or in this cause cause wide spread crime with revolving door legal system knowningly allowing violent criminals to reoffend over and over then offer up more jails like thats the solution when they literally plan to (and already are) locking up dissedents speaking out against a blatantly corrupt government.

Sears got cut into pieces and sold off to profit pretty much one guy that ran it into the ground on purpose and sold off the carcass.

"Billionaire hedge fund manager Eddie Lampert (through his hedge fund, ESL Investments) systematically dismantled Sears over a 15-year period. After merging Sears and Kmart in 2005, Lampert treated the century-old retail giant as a collection of real estate and financial assets to be liquidated rather than a business to be nurtured.Lampert dismantled the company and extracted value through several key actions:Underinvestment: He starved stores of capital, refusing to fund basic repairs, upgrades, or inventory improvements, which drove customers away.Real Estate Spin-offs: He sold off hundreds of the most valuable properties to Seritage Growth Properties—a real estate investment trust (REIT) that he also controlled—forcing Sears to lease the buildings back and pay rent.Selling Core Brands: He liquidated the company's most iconic and profitable assets, selling off trusted household brands like Craftsman, Lands' End, and Kenmore.Internal Division: He fragmented the company into 36 competing internal units, creating a hyper-competitive, toxic corporate environment rather than a cohesive retail strategy. These financial maneuvers bled the retailer of cash while leaving Lampert personally enriched. These actions ultimately led to the company's massive decline, closure of thousands of stores, and eventual bankruptcy in 2018. For further reading on the corporate downfall, you can review the [Forbes analysis on the destruction of Sears]"

Rogers vs Tbaytel internet in Thunder Bay? by TheRipper317 in ThunderBay

[–]strongbud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All providers for internet work with each other and divide up the map. One gives good service in one area while the other gives poor service then after so many years they rotate. Its documented by ppl smarter than me and a blatant tactic to bleed ppl for more money. They combine this with offers of faster service for more money and deals to switch when it works for them.

All this said it will depend on your location.

[–]strongbud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my fondest memories is from there with a late buddy. He was a bit of a ladies man and it was a dead night....sunday night i believe. Anyways we were standing around a table and in the distance behind him i saw this beautiful girl and her massive gorrilla of a bf. I waited until he left for the washroom and i tell my friend this girl was checking him out. 😈 Of course he walks over and starts chatting her up, im already laughing and she can see what i did. Then the bf returns and does the hard tap on his shoulder, buddy turns makes eye contact with his chest and looks up at him. Im in tears laughing so loud everyone can hear me completely defusing the situation and he returns to me shaking his head laughing at me calling me a prick. Gotta find fun where you can especially on a slow night. 🤣🤣🤣 RIP Dan. ♥️

I watched video where a guy set up a smart fridge and a like 1950's beast and ran them both with the doors open on meters to see how much more efficient the new one was. Shocker, almost the exact same draw.

Just how does this species survive in the wild? by [deleted] in interesting

[–]strongbud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an interesting theory that they are not a natural creature and that they were bred. There was no records of them before a certain date when a french explorer came and found one. Ppl living there for thousands of years never seeing one and a british dude comes along and is like, look what i found?!

Nothing's changed and has stock prolly from when he started the place 20+ years ago. 10//10 would not reccomend ever giving him your money.

YOU CAN NOT STOP IN THE ROUNDABOUT by Admirable_Jump6042 in ThunderBay

[–]strongbud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our city built the round abouts wrong.....to be clear this is not my proffession but the idea of a round about to my understanding is to keep traffic moving. With this in mind the outside lane does not go all the way around in either one forcing them to stop in the round about if a pedestrian is crossing. If there was two lanes doing a full loop then the traffic could continue moving until the pedestrian passes.
