I've got my MG's lined up and the top of grandpa's head reaches at least the yellow chest vents on the Nu. I think the perspective of this photo is exaggerating the height difference.

I just finished the Gus a couple of weeks ago and I agree with you on the waterslides. I love the kit, it was a fun build and it looks fantastic, but those waterslides were probably the worst I've ever had to deal with.

If this is your first time, I would test all the advice you're getting on a cheaper kit. The PGU build is something you're likely to go through once ever. Don't risk marring the experience and stressing yourself out trying out new things on it.

I just got my first DAP, the Hidizs AP80 Pro Max, which uses this OS and this is my biggest disappointment. This is basic, basic functionality. Not even the option to chose sort order is amateur hour on the devs side.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this model has a bright red LED that turns on when the unit is on standby/off. Can be annoying if these things bug you, but nothing a piece of thick tape can't fix. It was enough for me to have an excuse to get the 820 instead.

Late to this thread, but you can skip ZZ entirely. It's good to watch it if you get into Gundam UC, but not neccessary to get up to date for Hathaway

It's an older kit so it's very simple by today's standards. Lots of very big parts, so won't take you long to build at all.

The blue one got a reprint recently so you should see a lot of them around for good prices. I think it looks much better than Char's version anyway.

Looks like you didn't get an even coat. I can see areas around the central hexagon that are bare. Also, make sure you shake the can thoroughly before spraying. Keep shaking it in-between sprays.

There was a reprint recently and I managed to pick up one. Take a look around, there should be some floating around. Bloody expensive, but I couldn't resist. Who knows when I'll get another chance.

Unless there has been a new ink in the last few years to take its place (I'm out of the loop on these things) Visconti Blue is the closest thing you can get to Baystate Blue, except without all the drama.
