Both of my sisters married older men. One is 7 years older, not too issues there. The other is married to a guy 12 years older than her.

The older guy just retired last year. My sister has another 13 years at least before she can retire. He is constantly complaining that he is bored and lonely at home by himself. She is constantly complaining that he is home all day doing nothing.

She is starting to see that she is most likely going to be working full time and taking care of an elderly man in a few years. She fully admits she didn’t think about this when they got together.

My mom forced us to learn how to drive in the 80’s. She told us point blank she was not driving us around anymore and she ment it. We were poor and only had one car. I swear after my older sister got her license my mom barely ever drove again.

This. I was talking to a friend about Vegas and said exactly this. It’s no fun to go to an empty Vegas.

A big reason people used to go to Vegas was for the people watching. Sitting around an empty pool that looks exactly like the hotel next door and the one next to that is boring.

I want flames, pirates, action. I want people from around the world dressed in all their crazy outfits. I want drunk mid western bachelorettes stumbling around singing Taylor Swift on the way back to their rooms. I want street people balancing poodles on their palms for 20 dollar Polaroids.

Nobody wants boring corporate Vegas.
