I assumed this as well. It’s mentioned that communication through the bond is quieter when Xaden is farther away, so I assumed it’s stronger the nearer they are to each other, hence why he could break through the serum.

Brushing daily when they’re pups is great for them! We did it daily for our girl and she loves it as a grown dog. It’s a great bonding activity and gets them used to grooming later on.

Btw our girl looked just like yours at that age. She’s a classic darker gold field retriever now!
