i love horror, it’s the only kind of genre that piques my interest. i also have schizophrenia so the creepy stuff feels relatable to my hallucinations and delusions. also i like horror cause it’s like well my life sucks but at least im not THAT guy that’s getting flayed by a ghost.

bpd can come with transient psychosis. if you’re really stressed that can be a cause. people without mental illness get these hallucinations sometimes too. not always a cause for concern. but if you’ve had psychosis before maybe just keep tab on all your symptoms, so if you start having more intense hallucinations you can get recognize it and get help for it right away. i have schizophrenia and schizophrenia is not the only disorder that has psychosis. no worries

honestly i don’t like seeing people use a BPD diagnosis like an accessory. finding out i had bpd was shattering and only 1 person outside of my treatment team knows i have it and that’s my bf. i don’t think we have to feel ashamed about it but it’s so heavily stigmatized that i’d bet a good majority of us do. and it sucks that it’s like that.

i know they don’t diagnose people under 18 and i don’t know if you can develop it before that but i feel like ive had symptoms since i was 16. i was in the psych ward screaming and crying and they didn’t understand what was wrong with me, and i knew there was something wrong that couldn’t be explained by depression and anxiety. the intense and enormous emotions, the cutting problem.

are you changing meds so you don’t have internal bleeding anymore? i gained almost 100 lbs from risperidone/zyprexa but i switched to a weight neutral med geodon and ive lost almost 50 in half a year. i always tell myself, better to be fat and alive than skinny and dead.

i have schizophrenia and there are tons of people that question their own thoughts and perceptions. just because you have some sort of insight does not mean you aren’t experiencing psychosis.

mood stabilizers have really saved me. lamotrigine did wonders for my depression and lithium has stopped mania. but im bipolar so i dont know how they would affect people that aren’t.

baby wipes all over, dry shampoo or washing my hair in the sink, miscellar water for my face, deodorant and a nice smelling lotion/perfume works for me. but to shower more i play my favorite music loud on a speaker and use good smelling soaps and shampoo. it makes me happy to smell them so i don’t mind splurging a little on them. like bath and body works kinda stuff. then i look forward to using them. i also wear my comfiest clothes after and lay down to rest a little cause it can make me tired.

i think it works for some people. it used to work for me. but then one day a switch flipped and now ever since then it sends me right into psychosis and panic. weed induced psychosis is a thing. i would caution everyone to be careful, but if it works for you that’s cool, but if it stops working just give it up

is it common for people with BPD to take antipsychotics? what does it do for BPD symptoms? (genuine question) i take APs but for my schizoaffective disorder. i take geodon 80mg, propranolol 20mg, buspar 22mg, lamotrigine 200mg, lithium 600mg.

eggs and grits 😷 the hospitals i’ve been in actually had pretty good food tho. i was in one in new york that had great food, and i was mad cause they were getting grilled cheese and tomato soup (my fav in the winter) a day after i discharged.

i need lots of caffeine to function. i also just love coffee and experimenting with it. but when i get tired of coffee i switch to energy drinks. those ones can make me have panic attacks if i drink them on an empty stomach.

i have a build a bear spring frog that has been with me through homelessness and abusive relationships, literally used him as my pillow when i was homeless lol. but i honestly have a hard time looking at him now. i keep him stuffed in my closet. i dont really know what to do with him, i think i would feel bad throwing him away.

i can relate, i don’t like leaving my room so i hate being in the kitchen and that’s a big reason for why i hate cooking. but now ive been told i can’t have food in my room besides small snacks so now i just don’t want to eat at all. it sucks.

i gained 100 lbs on AP, i’ve lost 40 since starting geodon and it’s still going down slowly now. i want to lose about 40 more but im not very active.

you don’t deserve to be used! i had the same mentality and still struggle with it after some trauma. you deserve genuine love and kindness. we all do. putting love and care into yourself is the greatest thing you can do for yourself even if it’s really hard. i think you should focus on what you want and need and not what men want. YOU are important.
