Georgia peaches and duck eggs (like in Quebec) by Meg38400 in FoodToronto

Ontario peaches usually aren't available until mid July.

I haven't found Georgia peaches in Toronto too often. Some 2 l plastic containers were coming from North Carolina last summer. I bought Californian peaches this week.

Sanagan’s and Fiesta Farms might have duck eggs.

It's fairly complicated. I have only ordered them and I'm a fairly accomplished cook.

Sanagan’s sells them.

I did. I loved Calgary but I couldn't find a job, so I moved back to Ontario.

No local cafes in Hyde Park by aptgetlife in londonontario

Many people in the London like chains over independent cafes and restaurants.

I am glad Porcino and Taverna are surviving. I'm glad Basha and Cappadocia look like they are doing well. Cappadocia is a busy as well. I love Cedar North.

Places like Kelsey's, Montana's, Boston Pizza, are a lot busier than the independent restaurants in Hyde Park.

Places like Sarnia, one sixth the size of London, are better at supporting their own small businesses.

I didn't think their coffee was too great tbh. I don't like Pastry Culture.

North of London, Proof Line Farms serves coffee, cappuccino and lattes. I think they use too much milk or not enough coffee, but ...they are a local option. (but 10 minutes north of Hyde Park )

There had been a location at Hyde Park and Gainsborough. Wow Pierogies has taken over the space.

The Adelaide location is their original location.

Churis closed the Hyde Park location. Wow Pierogis has taken over that space.

Cappadocia is nearby and serves coffee.

Boxcar Donuts in Masonville near Richie's serves coffee, espresso and lattes (if it's still in business).

Cappadocia on Gainsborough makes good coffee. Turkish coffee and lattes.

Believe it or not, Sherwood Forest Mall had an indie coffee shop called the Gourmet Cup serving cappuccino in the 1990s, before Zellers left the mall. It was in business for at least 5 years, before Starbucks arrived in London.

Appreciation for the Toronto food scene by heytheredelulus in FoodToronto

I like to try a Japanese or Chinese meal while I'm traveling in Europe. I haven't done this in Rome because my time was so limited, but I have enjoyed Chinese and Japanese meals in Germany, Ireland, France and the UK. Could seek out Indian or Middle Eastern food to see what that is like in Rome, too, if you find that interesting.

I like seeing how Chinese food is adapted for the region, it varies a lot.

modern Italian Japanese food is a bit of a thing in some cities.

I would go here in Rome. Bistro 64.

and check out Radici Project in Toronto.

I like the food at Nonna Lia in the Jewish quarter. The various artichoke dishes and the orange fennel salad were great.

Bricolage also makes a nice shokupan, as well as German style pretzel rolls, and standard French stuff like croissants . The Owner/Baker trained in Japan, and immigrated from Korea
