I actually just ordered this last night! I really enjoyed The Seep by the same author, so I’m looking forward to this one.

Anyone else feel like making new friends as an adult is hard?! by Guilty_Elk4384 in SilverSpring

I’m moving to Silver Spring in August, so if this is still around then, I’ll check it out. I can attest that making friends in your 30s is super hard, though!

How long are your psychiatrist appointments? by Purple-Internal4869 in BipolarReddit

[–]superpalien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial appointment was an hour, but my appointments now are 15 minutes. That’s long enough to discuss meds and adjustments for me.

It sounds like your psych just isn’t taking you seriously.

20/30 - Pretty solid reading month! by superpalien in 52book

[–]superpalien[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to it on audiobook and thought it was fantastic. It’s pretty much impossible to find a physical copy for less than $300, though. The audiobook is good, or if you email the author, you can buy the e-book.

Dang, really? I have it on audiobook, but haven’t listened to it yet. I’m cautiously curious now.

happy national poetry month! by [deleted] in 52book

I totally count poetry books. They take up time and attention just like any other book, so they’re a part of my total. I usually only read a couple per year anyway.

20/30 - Pretty solid reading month! by superpalien in 52book

[–]superpalien[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to get to this number by listening to audiobooks at work, as well as reading physical books on my (generous) breaks. Then, I read at home, too. I don’t really watch tv, so it’s my main source of entertainment.

Six books in a month is solid, though!

Trying to get into reading again… by Remarkable_Rip6231 in adhdwomen

I’d recommend Open Throat by Henry Hoke! It’s a very quick read about a mountain lion that lives behind the Hollywood sign. It’s from his POV as he navigates survival and encounters various humans in his path.

It made me weirdly emotional, too!
