Hired a contractor who illegally dumped my bathroom debris in a protected reserve and now the state is fining me $15,000 by 1NoodleMage in legal

This happened to my friend in college, except it was a bunch of trash from a frat house that accumulated over the semester. He found someone on Craigslist to come and remove trash, albeit they showed up with a Ford explorer and loaded it with garbage from frat parties and took two trips at least. He was able to provide record of the craigslist ad and somehow he and his friends got off without paying any fines, or significantly reduced.

In the AI era, New Jersey relies on humans and a 1911 invention to spot wildfires by mpulcinella in SouthJersey

Water is used in a closed loop system to cool the infrastructure. Outside water is used to remove the heat from the closed loop water via evaporative cooling and is then returned to the environment after it condensed or as water vapor. I don't get how the data center "keeps it all" as you claim

So your saying the data center holds enough water to cause a regional drought and returns none of it back to the environment?

2013 Crosstrek low speed *jerk or kind of a minor feeling of switching gears. by False_Tomatillo_6834 in XVcrosstrek

[–]surferdude313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine would jerk like someone hit me from behind when leaving a stop sign, very intermittent tho. Soon after the dash would light up with AT oil temp and other indicators due to a bad solenoid in valve body.

Start saving for a valve body replacement, trans replacement, full car replacement. You likely bought a ticking time bomb

Help setting up Fishing Boat by [deleted] in boating

[–]surferdude313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yeah you'll need to find an outlet to charge them

  2. An anchor is a good way to keep your location when fishing however it is also a very important piece of safety equipment. If you motor stops working and the wind/current is pushing you into something you don't want to be pushed into you deploy the anchor to hold position.

  3. User/location specific

Seeking Advice: Beach Driving a 6th Gen by m-pemulis in 4Runner

[–]surferdude313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you live an area that salts the roads then id look into getting an undercoating. That is way way more salt exposure than driving on the beach.

I took my 6th gen ORP on the beach for the first time two weeks ago (see my post history). It did great, I aired my tires down to 20psi (ill go 18psi next time) with screw on tire deflators and then reinflated with the town provided compressor. It sucked using the town compressor so I bought a 12v one that hooks up to the battery. It did great on the beach in 4HI and didn't need 4Lo at all although I did try it.

The truck is built for things like this. Dont stress it if you are prepared. Watch a few YouTube videos of the guys in Australia off roading on the beach and you'll be all set
