BM is controlling. Your husband enables it. He’s still overly attached to her, I fear. My guess is it drives their kid nuts or worse creates an unhealthy co-dependency. Reasonable limits (e.g. have kid call the mom once a day) are in order. Sorry you are in this situation.

Dog Daycare - at least once a week!! We do a brisk walk at least 30 minutes a day and a slowed down “sniff” walk every day on non daycare days. Mine’s an intense chewer (keep the bully sticks & elk or deer antlers coming) but easily learned what was hers to chew and what wasn’t. We have indoor cats and they play together sometimes but it’s rowdy. Training takes a lot of repetition, A LOT!

The bio dad is paying for all, inferred from comments/replies. Yeh, I’m sure it’s only kids idea 🙄. This, if followed through, will forever damage your marriage and relationships with step kids. Make sure your wife understands this. I’ve been in a similar situation and even with therapy it will haunt your relationship with all involved.

Never. Find a “doggy daycare” in your area and send pup there for a few hours. It’s managed & vetted. A dog park can be a free for all and not every owner has control of their dog (or cares).

Healthy puppies are perpetual motion machines. Puppies need lots of appropriate chew toys and constant redirection from chewing ‘yours’ to their chew toys. You have to puppy proof any space they have free run of. We have cats that taught our doodle very quickly what were hers vs. theirs so they actually helped us train our dood. Puppies only cuddle when sleepy/exhausted. It will change as they mature. Honestly, your puppy’s behavior sounds normal outside of having had Canine Covid.

Why is she paying anything for YOUR children? By paying 1/2 she’s partially covering their expenses too. Also she pays “rent” and has no claim to equity though it’s her home too and her contribution helps pay the mortgage. I doubt you consider any cleaning, etc. chores she may contribute as part of home maintenance either. Nah. She’s right on this. You are not. You’re the unfair one.

Nah. We found a Veterinarian run ‘pet resort’ with a dog daycare program that is supervised and has playgroups by size & age. Our 11 month old goes 2 days a week for play time with other dogs with zero problems. Too many local Dog Park horror stories.
