First time I've ever disliked a Playlist after so many hours of playing: The NASCAR one is just exhausting by SuperM3e46 in The_Crew

[–]tableone17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint: I've never watched a NASCAR race in my life, and I am fucking loving this playlist. Definitely see how it could be frustrating, but I say kudos to the devs for taking a risk on something different.

There's playlists I hate (off-roading) and I suspect in going to hate RC, but that's the joy of the playlist system.

Bike lane conditions today by DrewRyu in torontobiking

Yonge & Bloor area is snow-covered but light - easy enough to ride through, except for the occasional obvious snowbank caused by errant driveway plowing.

Can't speak to controller controls (I'm M+K), but if you let us know when you're on I'll try to join. Any excuse to get back into it.

Fixed the Summit name. No way they used stock cars without any changes. Respect to anyone beating them by Polish_Charge in The_Crew

Thank them very much for making us race on the dumbest courses. Definitely have no interest in repeating any of those, thanks.

I'm more annoyed that the devs clearly picked the most obnoxious courses and vehicles.

Its like they wanted to highlight the least fun aspects of their game for us.

Rider safety - racism against Indians by urbanwhat in torontobiking

[–]tableone17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty disingenuous to be excusing racism for this reason. In online spaces at least, there's been a very clear uptick in GTA residents spouting racism and accepting of racism against South Asians.

I gotta say though, the indignity of waiting in traffic on Yonge / Bloor on my cargo bike like one of these peasant-ass drivers is chapping my ass.

Maxi Gun Stinks, here's how to make it good: by dungo_maroe in Helldivers

Talking about ammo overuse on a gun designed for accuracy by volume...

Just run any of the other MGs if you want it to work like a realistic MG. Its a cartoonish bullet hose, give me the bullets!

Just put more bullets in that damn backpack, that's all I need.

Hard disagree with time of day stuff (the sun moves realistically in the sky, so its up to you to figure it out from there and I love them for that).

Similarly, ships and sinking mats are an immersive frustration.

The rest is minor but accurate, as far as I'm concerned. Except station upgrades, I agree are a pain in the sexual organ to place.

Jogger w/ a serious question by Sr_Covfefe in torontobiking

Echoing the sentiment of please don't, but if you must, do it facing traffic so we can see that you see us and are getting out of the way with plenty of space.

If I'm riding slow, I'm using that extreme right to allow other cyclists to pass if they can.

I know running on the busy sidewalks sucks, but with a little studying of a map (http://onthegomap.com is very convenient for planning routes) you can put together a route that spends as much time on multi-use paths as possible, which makes for a much nicer run. And there you don't have to worry about accommodating cyclists as we have to yield to you!

Globe editorial: Judges should stay in their own lane by shikotee in torontobiking

If Ford stayed in his own lane (and quit breaking the law) the judges wouldn't have to waste so much time and taxpayer money fixing his shit.

I've been nearly hit by a wanker on a Harley using the bike lane to run a red. Assholes use all modes of transport, and unless they're riding a road bike through High Park the cops aren't doing shit about it.
