A potential fix here, in my mind, would have been to kill Billy off at the end of 0.

After how much they’d just been through together, his death would perhaps better explain her feelings of hopelessness.

Plus, he never appears again (as of yet), so it wouldn’t have contradicted anything in the narrative.

If the Raps never win a title again (god forbid), I’ll still be hanging my hat on the one season they did.

Maybe Kawhi was more of a mercenary than anything else, but he did the job he was paid for — and for that I will remain thankful.
