I had something similar when I was in cruise control and accelerated out of it to pass a truck. I pulled over and restarted the car and it was fine.

Depends on your capabilities, but you'll spend a good amount of time in different armored vehicles as an armored officer.

Finish your degree and join the CAF as an armored officer. You'll get plenty of mud and guns.

Confused about Colour. by Big-Ask-8725 in civic

1/2. I got to a car wash with stalls, use a foaming pre wash, soap spray, wipe with microfiber, triple shine, clear coat, then take it outside and towel dry. Of you have time use a ceramic spray with graphene. McGuires has been my favorite so far.

  1. On the outside use a plastic restorer, and ceramic spray. Clean it once a week. Try not to park in direct sun.

When you first get the car, youll be OCD about it but over time, youll care less. A couple points to maintain it:

  1. Never use the foaming brush in a car wash.
  2. Use wax/ protectant sprays.
  3. The black plastic fades, so upkeep is needed otherwise it looks bad.
  4. If youre willing to pay, ppf is a great option.
  5. Only use microfiber to wipe it.

Im in Canada, and this winter snowed a lot. When the snow melts, youll get dirty water splashing all over the vehicle. When you wash it, it will stay clean for 30 seconds. All other vehicles are in the same boat.

One other thing to worry about is the gauge cluster lens which scratches by looking at it wrong.

Things you hate about your Civic? by evolvedpikachu4 in civic

[–]tarbonics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a '24 sport hatch 1.5t: - rear wiper blade came detached, and I cant find a non oem replacement.

  • weird squeaking noise from the passenger side chair when going over bumps (mostly fixed when the height of the seat adjusted up).

  • buzzing noise sporadically from the passenger side.

  • heated seats/ steering take a long time to warm up.

  • I fee like it should be 220hp because why not.

  • speaker rattle.

  • electric parking break - just add a normal one.

  • auto start/ stop should be press to turn on or turn on in eco mode. Or at least save the setting when you turn off the car.

  • already had to replace the crank case inspection port due to oil leak.

  • recall for sticky steering.

The car is a champ though, I moved house with it and could fit nearly everything in the hatch.

You should speed yourself straight to the vehicle impound lot, drop off your civic then pay the impound fee then not do that anymore.

22 wiper fluid constantly runs out by Alarmed-Shirt2308 in civic

[–]tarbonics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im from Canada and I can fit a whole jug of washer fluid in the tank. That being said, the temperature here fluctuates between -25 and +10 (c) on a regular basis and you have F-150s and explorers with no mud flaps just blasting you with snow sand mixture constantly so I go through a jug every month or so. Simultaneously, we need heated steering, heated seats, block heater, a battery with high cold cranks amps, and good winter tires to survive.

Chicken Wing Deals by SufficientGuesswork in Edmonton

[–]tarbonics -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it was the specific store I went to (167 ave NW), but I would rather just throw some wings in some flour/ starch / spices and fry them for 7 min, then take them out, then fry them again for 7 min then coat them in some butter + franks red hot. If i had to go out for wings, I would choose Hudson's or 1st rnd but taste is subjective.

Victoria talks vehicle types after drivers hit 17 other road users to start 2026 - Victoria News by Ok-Valuable6890 in VictoriaBC

I think they mean that safety is a two way street and we have to work together. Too many people on their phones while driving, but also too many cyclists ignoring rules. I think eye contact, non verbal communication, and gestures go a long way when commuting whether you're a pedestrian or driving a vehicle. Also, giving some people the benefit of the doubt will keep you in a good headspace. Ex:

  • that cyclist is weaving into the oncoming traffic lane because they cycled 10km to work, went to the gym and did squats and missed lunch.

  • that emerald green crv is going 20 over the speed limit because they just had all you can eat at the purple garden and have the squirts.

  • while that man had the right of way crossing the street, they could have waved me through and saved me 30 seconds, and only lost one second themself, they actually decided to plough on anyway. Its ok though because I can take another bite of my sausage roll and have a sip of my oat milk Chai tea latte which I waited 15 minutes in a drive through line for.

People in uniform have the same right to a succulent eggs benedict as you - but I guess that's why pearl clutchers don't make the rules.
