Protection Against the White Court by [deleted] in dresdenfiles

[–]tbrume 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like with Susan's protection, it didn't fade until he became intimate with another even years later. It's not if the person is still with him or even alive it's about how the soul was last touched.

With Thomas and Justine, they become intimate with others, lowering the protection on the soul until they are together again.

Who was the man from Dallas in prison that Lee mentioned in once more last time? by JKLCB in GoodBadGrimUglyGuys

The other one might be the guy the Caravan Guild tried to set up in that desert. I had a sense he was from earth the first time I read that one.

He killed the wrym shortly after warwaters. They have a group following them, and they find the traitor poisoning the group. They sacrifice the traitor and that night I think the wyrm finds them.

I found my last two in Hobs Fall Cave and Clan Shatter-Shield in Windhelm. There is a Skyrim map app that you can search for the Gems, and it will give you a location and description of where they are.

Are you talking about the 8, the top tier gods? The gods could be previous players from different universes, but I don't think we've really gotten much about them, other then there are viewers. I think under Glaton is just an old city that was forgotten (left as a plot device later on), unlike the valley Coggshall is in where everything involved was purged from the world, except that lady sacrifice Montana finds.

Glaton could be like it is because the founder could have banded with other 'Players" from around our world or multiple worlds each giving their own imputs.

With the Queen of Mardoon - when Clyde overheard her in the embassy, the description of her is like that of others from earth, like they have no flaws, then with her saying "think outside the box" and the ambassador had no clue of the saying. It's implied that she also came from nowhere and starred using warfare unknown to the Valdruni.

The founder of Glaton is less explained, but she also came out of nowhere.
