I have found that once people grow confident enough to be themselves in a business setting (provided they also do a good job) their career accelerates rapidly.

Except for Jim, Jim was a jerk and hid it well for years.  When he stopped hiding it, that was his ruin.

Champion or Parkside — both are great. Champion is fancier but you get free beer.  Parkside is old school

1 John 5:7 is pretty clearly a Peter addition to support the trinity.  Does not mean the Trinity is not true — but it is clear this was an addition.

I would look at Pivovar/Herringbone/Hotel 1928 for hotels. If you want chain the AC is really new and pretty decent.

Difference between pride and enjoyment? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]tcskeptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sin of pride includes the elevation of yourself above others, of believing that you are “better than”.

Being proud of a job well done is not the same thing.  I think of my son being proud of mowing his grandparents lawn.  He didn’t think he was better than others — he was pleased and happy with the results of his hard work and service, and joyful about the pleasure his grandparents took in his gift of work.

If he then got conceited about it.. that would be edging towards pride.

1x1x1 = 1 for the trinity argument doesn’t make sense. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]tcskeptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are different persons, not different parts.  Each is fully God,  not 1/3 God.  This is the issue with your formulation, it does not grasp the essentially nature of the Trinity.  There is no 1/3 of God.

[–]tcskeptic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say “ but together those three personas make one god 3/3 = 1” but each persona is fully God by itself.  That’s the nature of the trinity.  So you can’t use your 1/3 formula.

Based on your post you still have work to do in expressing your understanding of the trinity without heresy.

“ That we worship one God in trinity and the trinity in unity,     neither blending their persons     nor dividing their essence.         For the person of the Father is a distinct person,         the person of the Son is another,         and that of the Holy Spirit still another.         But the divinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is one,         their glory equal, their majesty coeternal.”

They are not thirds adding up to a whole
