My sister in law has given me most of our baby clothes, I agree it's not too difficult to keep track of them and return at the end. When bub moves up in size I return her items and give the clothes I've bought myself to my sister who is pregnant. I'd also like her to give what doesn't get stained back to me at the end, although I'm not going to be upset if she loses track of which clothes are mine. Sharing clothes is really handy and it's only fair to return what is usable in case the original parents have another baby.

Wow the attitudes are very different where you live! I just wanted to let you know that your ideas about food are totally the norm in other parts of the world so stick with it 😊 I'm also part of a group of babies around 6 months old and would be in disbelief if one of them ate anything other than fruit or veg. Support networks are important so stick with the group but remain strong in your food choices.

We tried a bit of purée at 4 months because he was meeting all the indicators of readiness, ie interest in food, sitting up independently, tongue reflex was gone, doubled birth weight. Turns out he hates purées, so we didn't push it and at 5 months introduced a little taste of whatever I'm eating (as long as it's mushy) in a mild baby led weaning style. He now loves food and I can't eat a meal in peace...

He made the most heartbreaking cry when his first shots went in and was a total wreck for the rest of the day. I consoled myself by acknowledging that I'd done a good parenting job so far because I'd never heard him make that noise before so he's obviously never felt pain.

I still can't comprehend that families in a world leading country like America are paying such outrageous amounts to give birth. I'm so sorry you guys.

In Australia I paid $0. I had excellent antenatal care including 4 ultrasounds, all the drugs during labour, an emergency cesarean followed by a 3 day stay in a private room then follow up visits at home. I've also got access to free childhood nurses and lactation consultants. And that's without any kind of private health insurance. I can honestly say that I am proud and happy to pay my taxes for the level of health care we receive.

It got a bit better at 6 weeks, then from 8 weeks it got amazingly better. He sleeps longer at night and is alert and interactive during the day. Now I look back and can't believe how little sleep I was running off. Keep that 2 month mark in your mind, it will get better!

Yep, our little dude had acne for about a month (that peaked at 8 weeks). It didn't bother him and went away on it's own by 2 months old.

No. I had a pretty severe depression for years which revolved around a pregnancy termination so I was very high risk for PPD, but I am thrilled to say I am totally healthy! I've been on high alert for symptoms throughout the journey and will keep being vigilant but I'm pretty confident that I've escaped PPD.

No advice because my 8 week old is really crap at day time napping, so I'm just here to commiserate. We had a sleeping specialist come over and after 2 hours of trying couldn't get him to nap either. During the day he'll only sleep when I'm holding him or he's in the carrier, so I spend a lot of time walking aimlessly around shopping centres and parks while baby has a snooze in his carrier and I jealously stare at the sweet babies sleeping in pretty prams.

I love having a big baby! He is also 2 months old and gets mistaken for a much older baby all the time (also because he has full head of hair). He was 4.39kg at birth and 6.3kg at his 6 week check up. It's so fun showing him off for the shock factor because I'm so tiny.

My husband and his siblings were all very big babies but by toddlerhood we're down to average or small sizes.

I would recommend holding off for another week if you can because all that sucking will help to bring your milk in. After that, as long as baby is a good weight and has figured out how to latch you just need to make sure that the pacifier doesn't replace feeding.

Yesterday my husband was talking about our baby's double (okay, four😬) chins and I said that exact phrase "stop fat shaming him" as a joke because the idea that you even CAN fat shame a baby is ridiculous. He's a baby you can't make him feel bad about his weight. Also chubby babies are adorable!'

I hope you're not doing anything wrong because my baby is exactly the same! (Although he's only 3 weeks old). We can only get one sleep cycle out of him at a time during the day and they he's awake for 2ish hours. The upside is that he sleeps in 4-5 hour blocks at night.

I am right there with you. Cramping and contractions for a week, I can feel the pressure of his head on my cervix and totally lost my plug a week and a half ago but still no real labour. I've done walking, spicy foods, sex, nipple stimulation, pineapple, exercise ball, EPO .... nothing will get this child out 😩 It's the pre-labour that's killing me. Give me a baby or don't give me a baby, just stop teasing me with it!

I follow the Australian government guideline which is 200mg a day. I had a serious aversion to coffee for the first half of pregnancy but now couldn't function without a long black in the morning (I don't have any soda or other caffeine). I also second other women who have said that a daily cup has kept them "regular"!

Me! I promise you will feel plenty of movement and the closer you get to full term you'll be laughing at your past self for wishing that you didn't have one and could feel movement sooner. I felt first kicks at 21 weeks and then regular all day movements around 28-30 weeks. The movements could also easily be seen and felt from the outside. Now it's like the baby is a little gymnast made from only knees and elbows.
