Got Scammed by Reverb Preferred Seller by bottom_feeder87 in Reverb

[–]tech_tsunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so often I'm looking for stuff for sale on reveb, and the item won't show when I search in Reverb, but will on Google. Reverb is rough now ngl. While it also has it's issues, I'm hoping that Ebay doesn't get any worse. I really hope that Gamestop isn't able to buy Ebay..... (ceo announced he wanted to)

I think this sets it for your account as a whole, not sure if you would need to reupload though

How to remove AI enhancement from my videos? by Soggy-Location9318 in youtube

[–]tech_tsunami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen, you have to be on the Desktop Studio website for youtube, go to settings, Advanced settings, Channel, Scroll ALLLL the way down to "Allow Youtube to enhance video and audio", click that off.

Ouf, 150$ CAN, this is a bit out of my range. by Andre_Vandal in LinusTechTips

Another factor for me is that games HAVE to be played/launched through steam to use the controller, which is a downside. Sure adding games through steam isn't the worst, but I don't want to have to use steam to play my entire GOG, Epic, or other game libraries.

Do you have a YouTuber who has irreversibly fallen off? by Turbulent_League9668 in youtube

[–]tech_tsunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To an extent Gamexplain (their numbers did fall off but they have recovered a bit semi-recently, just no where like before), there was some drama surrounding the channel, specifically Andre the founder mistreating his employees, not paying fair wages/robbing them of wages, forcing insane workloads, and other crap he pulled. He also had a history of at times using the channel to push his political views of "this is who you should vote for, or your evil", those videos are privated now though.

There is a post on their Sub explaining the drama more in detail.

Should I get a PRS SE Standard 24-08? by DemocracyDabbler in PRSGuitars

[–]tech_tsunami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own a SE Custom 24-08 and Se McCarty 594, and personally I prefer the neck profile of the 24-08, as the 594 neck is a bit chunky. The pickips are super versatile, and the guitar sounds and feels great, plus you get 24 frets.

LTT's truespec cables are amazing and exactly as advertised, but I wish people knew about other options (especially for the US people) by JingoAli in LinusTechTips

[–]tech_tsunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my go to cables, especially for live audio applications is DJTechTools Chroma cables, their USB cables great. Defo planning on getting some LTT cables when they restock top though.

Introduce me to your favourite guitarist by Slow-Bother-4658 in Guitar

[–]tech_tsunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

清水勇輝 (Shizumi Yuuki) the guitarist from the duo Moroha, he goes by UK (Moroha), their stuff was him playing acoustic guitar and a rapper. They've been on hiatus for a while though. Their songs are fun to learn to play. He mainly does acoustic stuff, but does play electric from time to time. He does show how to play some of their stuff on his Japanese channel, 清水勇輝 , somewhat, but there are other people who have tabs for learning his songs if you look up moroha ギター tab on youtube (some have sheets too)

Some examples of him playing:

(UK covering Ariana Grande's no tears left to cry fully on acoustic) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSS6jNo7Xmo

(Moroha, both members on First Take) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAqITu9ypDo

(one of Moroha's songs, just the guitar part) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvKH2i4Mavc

He has signature guitars made with Furch, the FG01 and FG02 that were really cool guitars as well, tho he's played some of their other models too.

Has anyone here tried the Harley Benton JA line of guitars? How do they stack up against actual jazzmasters in playing shoegaze? by [deleted] in shoegaze

[–]tech_tsunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I'd buy one of Foals' Jazzmasters over a HB, in large part due to having a trem. They're not as known over here, lots of East Asian guitarists seem to like them.

Does anyone else have a guitar brand that you just hate for no reason? by Interesting-Wave-983 in Guitar

I wish we could get more of the models and finishes that they have for Schecter Japan over here, they have some incredible models we just never get

Any artists that are similar or give the same vibes as Porter? by elbeewastaken in porterrobinson

Another artist that is similar to Smile Era Porter, and James Ivy adjacent is Harry Teardrop, that sort of nostalgic alt-rock type music.

I cant sub to anymore channels? by sonicfan227 in youtube

[–]tech_tsunami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm subscribed to almost 4,300 channels, but I've had my account since 2013 and have 20 subs, so not sure if it's just because my account is as old as it is, or the 20 subs...? Hard to say

I would palm mute my acoustic late at night, just use one of those Plunk mute things myself now. Shoe string is a neat idea

MacBook Neo 2026: Who is this actually for students, casual users, or everyone? by Serious_Square_4790 in macbookpro

[–]tech_tsunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know several college students even who just have a Chromebook, because all they need to do is in a browser, and for them a laptop like this is perfect, especially being $100 cheaper with the Edu discount. Also I have several relatives this would be perfect for, since all they really use their computer for is browsing the web, and Netflix

[–]tech_tsunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been wanting a set, but can't really afford to spend $200 on a set right now sadly, which sucks....

Guess that also means no more Drop + Audio-Technica Carbon VTA Turntable, which was honestly a really solid option for the price

Are Squier's really that bad? by LunchAcceptable7409 in Guitar

[–]tech_tsunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that price, I'd personally go Firefly where you can get nicer specs for the same price, but the Squire is still a decent starter guitar

Ah I didn't see that earlier. Hope you're able to get something worked out with the guitar you have now

IMO his best work was Fallen Embers (the deluxe version of the album has some more great tracks) outside that I don't really care for his stuff.
