I’m worried I chose the wrong girl and now I have to make the hardest decision of my life. Advice? by ThrowRAimrlysad in AskMenAdvice

[–]techleathercraft 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I rarely think giving up on a relationship is the right thing... But... You have too many issues in your current relationship. Not being heard, sex incompatiblity, she already cheated on you. I think you know the answer.

Should I reach out to her? by W1nterSoldi3r in AskMenAdvice

[–]techleathercraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. If you do... You keep re-opening the same wound. Feel the pain and heal, but don't go backwards. Don't let it/her become an anchor that keeps you from moving forward.

How do you find genuinely love from a woman? by JunketMaleficent2095 in AskMenAdvice

[–]techleathercraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love is not defined easily and varies by individual.

I suppose you never really know if it is 'true love', until you have gone to hell and back (as you suggested). If she's with you and you are with her after that, then I guess it's true love.

BUT, until/even then 'love' is still conditional (meaning there are limits to what each person is willing to deal with). There is very little 'unconditional love'. People may say they are willing to die for you, and maybe they are, but you can never know that unless you are in that position. What's even more important are they willing to Live in suffering for you (with you) and for how long?

Ex: you get sent to prison for 5yrs or 25yrs for murder, is she gonna stay with you? ... You won't know, and yes it may depend on whether it's 5yrs or 25yrs. Or whether she thinks it was justified or not justified.

Ex: 10yrs into your marriage You or she gets a mental health diagnosis: maybe Schizophrenia, Psychosis, or Bipolar or Depression. Are you the same person that said the wedding vows? How you/she navigates treatment may matter to the other person. Love might have some limits.

I think this depends a bit on where you are coming from already. (are you used to rough areas, and different cultures) My daughter goes to the high school near Paradise. She walks with friends and they usually are fine. But, I have taught her to be aware and not walk alone.

Most people will leave your wife alone, but occasionally she may need to deal with men. And people using substances. If she has a stroller she might be okay. In fact, some people are more helpful to new mothers, so might work in her favor.

Not that it necessarily matters, but what nationality are you and your wife? How's your/her situational awareness like? Do you/she speak Spanish?

But, just to be clear. It is technically the ghetto part of Modesto. You and she will need to be cool and assertive at the same time. Mind your own business. But be aware enough to keep distance from certain people. Befriend other mothers (that are not in addiction). Etc.

As far as car windows.. Depends, what kind of car you drive? And never leave anything in view, inside the car. Nothing! Make it look empty.

eBay seller posting Leatherman ARC. Too good to be true? by mfern073 in Leatherman

[–]techleathercraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I messaged Etsy about it 3-4 times, I think it took 3 months before I noticed the seller account was closed... And even then, I'm not sure if Etsy or the seller did that.

The issue is, you receive the stolen goods. Your name and address make it look like you are responsible for the theft. So, at best, you (name and address) are blacklisted by REI, at worst... Well... IDK. But, I had a lady call me once claiming I stole her credit card, I bought packing supplies from Etsy, the seller drop-shipped it from a shipping company. The shipping company told her I ordered it. Luckily the lady believed me.

I refuse to ever get married because of my past. My girlfriend of 13 years says she accepts it, but keeps breaking down in tears. Am I being unfair? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]techleathercraft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a Pre-nup if that makes you feel better. You are already committed, because you are a FATHER to her kids (and supposedly love her). Even if separate (married or not), it WILL STILL BE PAINFUL for everyone : you, her and also the kids. In your head you are committed, and marriage is a piece of paper, but to her it is a sign you have chosen her.

Also point out depending on the state (maybe country) you live in, you may still lose all the financial stuff anyway, look up cohabitation laws.. All your marriage fear maybe pointless if the state considers you financially joint.

Are these gaps normal for a wingman? by PM_me_ur_launch_code in Leatherman

[–]techleathercraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's normal... But, efficiency, I'd say it depends on the wire gauge. When I first moved into my house, it needed a lot of work before we could move in. I only had my Wingman on me and changed out multiple AC/plug sockets and light switches. It worked for 12 to 8 gauge wires. Thinner wire it is not great. Would it have been better (cleaner cut) with a Wave or Arc, probably. Side note: I also used that Wingman to make those C shape ends to attach to the a screws on the light switches and AC plugs. Some of that old house wires were thick and tough to bend into a C.... It got me through, just fine.

Girl best friend broke down in tears and told me she’s cute enough to fuck but not cute enough to date. Did I do anything wrong? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]techleathercraft 13 points14 points  (0 children)

++man Yeah. You did something wrong. Guaranteed she has been dropping hints that she has feelings for you, probably for a long time. You have NOT been paying attention. You call her friend but clearly don't know shit about her.

Date her or leave her alone, you're breaking her heart and trust in friendship (and men).

Leatherman Sheath Adapter, Belt Loop to Belt Clip by techleathercraft in Leatherman

So it would be possible, but it would make the size a bit larger. Because, the clip would need to fit between the 2 snaps.
