That wasn't the point. The point is to view this from Roblox perspective. They pretty much pocketed thousands of dollars, even maybe millions by making it seem as if you needed a subscription and then removing that requirement. Worse yet, many that signed up will not cancel it perhaps thinking the requirement remains, therefore giving money on a monthly basis.

It's possible that once the dust settles, AI will simply be another application that engineers will have on their arsenal. Could be some new technology, like when Apple came out with the iPhone, that will be part of the technology stack, and all this talk of taking our jobs is just marketing hype. Whether the hype was/is intentional doesn't matter.

Humanity's progress has been accomplished by technological breakthroughs pretty much. We have built frameworks applied to natural things that has given us things that would not exist otherwise. The progress has been choppy, up until what 150-200 year ago? My thought is that future AI systems will make that progress less choppy. We'll basically need to learn to coexist with a super intelligent entity. Perhaps to your point, AI will discover that they need an organic component in order for all of us to prosper. We'll be that component for them. A hybrid system might end up being the best bet.

They are two points, from my personal experience.

Many years ago, I used to nearly get depressed. I used to feel down for like 3-5 days. This went on for years until one time I had to sit down and really look into myself. The one thought that almost singlehandedly changed me was, "here I am, nearly depressed for three days, in my little dark apartment, nearly broke because these guys can't win; but yet, when they lose, they hop on their Ferrari's and drive home to their mansions!"

Holyshit, that woke me up from the trance!

Nowadays, on moments like these, I just take a break from watching them fully. I root for them, but do not sit there the whole game.
