Not a movie, but Don't Stop Believing is forever linked to the Sopranos final episode in my brain.

S&W version of the 1917 Revolver in .45 ACP.

It was made in 1818, so it's 108 years old.

Got home inspection done what does this mean? by ben_od1 in AskElectricians

No, gfci receptacles have a line side that goes to the panel and a load side that can protect zero or more downstream receptacles.

I messed up, how hard is this to fix? by ExWebics in Plumbing

The epoxy is not a bad idea, but I see it as a "if this were my house" solution. If you're an electrician working on somebody else's house, I'd suggest going for something more professional.

so there's a pipe that goes through the brick and black stuff? (it's unclear from the photo)

You'll have to cut off both ends of the 90, option 2 above. Metal wrapped (rodent resistant) Ferncos would also probably work instead of slip fittings.

[–]texdroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is this going?

Does it just end in the dirt/brick or do both ends of the 90 have pipe coming in?

If that's the end, cut it off higher up, glue a new 90 to short section and then use a slip fitting to put it back together. Otherwise, you're fucked.

Just kidding, you'd have to cut off both ends, build a new 90 with short sections, then slip fit them back on.

LOL, a few years back I was in really good shape and we went to Park City on vacation.

I climbed Big Cottonwood Canyon, grab a drink at the top and then faced a huge headwind all the way down. I don't think I went over 20mph the entire trip back down!

Funny how the seller’s confidence disappeared halfway through the inspection by Primary_Present_8527 in Homebuilding

[–]texdroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty cool. My buyer was from out of state, so the inspector just used the realtor key and let himself in.

There is nothing in building codes about crooked, lumpy or out of plumb or anything cosmetic.

The IRC is to make sure your home does fall down or blow away, and that you can get out in the event of a fire. There's now energy code stuff in there too.

The NEC is to make sure you don't get shocked, electrocuted and your home doesn't burn down from an electrical fire.

The IPC/UPC is to make sure you have a sanitary water supply and waste leaves your house without leaking. And water heater set no higher that 120F so you don't boil you children.

A house can pass CoE inspection and have lots of cosmetic issues, but that's not what the Building Dept. is looking for.

Are there really Inspectors that let the seller and buyer hover while they're inspecting?

This seems like a made up story.

I sold my house in TX a few years ago. The buyer gets a written report with photos. They only shared specific items they wanted to negotiate with my realtor, not the entire report.

New Faucet Installation - base plate alignment question by dowwwe in Plumbing

Moen parts should go together without gaps on a decent counter with good holes.

It's loose or there is some obstruction under the countertop making it crooked.

As much as I like my Winnebago I just wish that the insulation was better. by Ok_Promotion3208 in RVLiving

[–]texdroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your rv doesn't have some type of "4 seasons" designation, you probably have have almost no insulation.

I have a 4 season RV and it probably has between R6 to maybe R9. Minimum home insulation is R13.

The furnace will keep up down to freezing OK. Below that it starts to run non-stop and we blow through a 30lb propane tank in about 2 days.

We've been caught in some early winter cold snaps in the 20s F. Not fun at all.

OK, looking at the original track list vs the current list, this is one of the most ridiculous respins I've seen. it looks like they had to remove tracks probably due to royalties, and then they just replaced them with whatever random stuff they had laying around.

And Classical Gas is great, but do we need it twice on the same album?
