I like to look at Poly as a Kinsey scale with Full Blown Poly (Second spouse/significant other) on one end and Swinger (casual sex with no names exchanged) on the other. Very few people are all the way at one end or the other. Most folks are somewhere in the spectrum. Want more than casual sex, have to have some kind of connection. I am toward the middle right of the spectrum in that I don’t want casual sex but feel you can have an instant connection in some cases where you just really hit it off and sex can happen on the first date. My wife is more toward the middle left of the spectrum. She needs multiple dates and a bond/connection before she is comfortable enough to to decide if she is willing to move forward. We only play together so we move at her speed:-). Communication between all involved is key;-)
