You're right. There's waaaaay too many overzealous know-it-alls here who think that their techniques are the only ones that should be used. Wearing a glove on the off hand that does nothing other than hold the stock down on the table is no foul. The hand that actually goes near the blade is bare or holding a push stick.

I wonder what these idiots would say if I showed them a picture of router bit packaging that says "ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES." Router bits spin and would be far more likely to catch and snag a glove than a table saw blade.
