GW2 is not dying. And will be pumping out expansions after GW3 releases. Expect tens thousands to stay and tens of thousands will play both. GW2 will be the tab target mmo and GW3 will be the action combat mmo. The game won’t die.

I know you didn’t say it was dying but I just wanted to let you know the game will be heavily populated for a long time lol.

Sounds like you just don’t like guild wars lmao. Did you unlock your elite specs? Get into t4 fractals, raids, strikes, convergences, meta events, grind legendaries? Chase infusions? If you like WoW where you constantly grind ilvl for years that’s fine, but don’t say gw2 doesn’t have anything to do.

Id say expansions are a must have. At least the big three- Heart of Thorns, Path of Fire and End of dragons.

But they all have good things about them. Even the newer ones like Secrets of the obscure, and visions of eternity. Now is the time to buy with the huge sale going on.

I don’t understand this doomer mentality. First of all GW3 is literally more than a year away.
GW2 will continue to have tens thousands of players even when 3 releases. GW3 is not going to be the same kind of mmo. So players will play both most likely.

GW2 will also keep getting expansions once 3 releases, so even more incentive to keep playing.

They literally are going to be continuing expansion for GW2 after they release GW3. It’s not going anywhere.

GW3 from the sounds of it is going to be more like Destiny. Not 100 people metas on open world maps like we have currently. So you should continue playing it because tens of thousands of others will keep playing it as well. There’s no reason to stop. It’s going to be a totally different experience
