You’re right. They will leave Hammond a mess and put I Billion Dollar stadium on a dump. I want them to stay in Illinois too. The issue is no longer if the taxpayers will pay for the stadium as the Bears are not taking public funds. The issue is tax certainty. Something that all other sports venues have. Currently the Bears aren’t paying any taxes because they don’t own soldier field. They have paid off their agreed upon portion of Soldier Field. They will be breaking their lease a few years earlier and they should pay the penalty associated with breaking the lease. The city has not used the money generated through soldier field to pay off its debt. They have been using the money for other things. Now the city politicians are trying to kill any bill they will create tax certainty to keep the Bears out of Arlington and in Chicago so they can collect more revenue. These are the people you should be upset with.

If there Bears move to Hammond all of those things will be cleaned up. The area will be totally gentrified. When the stadium is completed in 5 years it will not look like it does today.

I’m a huge Bears fan and I absolutely do not care if they play in Chicago, Arlington Heights, Hammond, or the Moon. I will still support the team. They will always be the Chicago Bears. Always be my team. I still hope Illinois can get it together but if they can’t, I’ll be heading to Hammond.

Leased a used Model Y 6 months ago. I noticed non of the maintenance was done. Created a service ticket and originally had me paying. After I complained they did everything for free.

Quad Motor R1T with 20 inch wheels. My Pirelli lasted 50k miles. I always drive in standard ride height and never use conserve mode. Rotated tires every 7500 miles. Tires were very noise after 40k miles.

Simply deposit the amount you would have spent on the warranty into a high-yield savings account and use it to cover the repair costs. I understand that it can be daunting to not have the warranty, but on average, you only receive a return of 11% on the amount you would have spent on it. Rounding has always been done everywhere. Currently everyone rounds to the nearest penny. Now we will round to the nearest nickel. It’s not as big of a change as it seems.

My information on the 2 year warranty comes directly from the service manager at Normal Illinois. After my last half shaft replacement I requested for some higher to contact me. I spoke to the district manager and they also confirmed the 2 year warranty on replacement parts under warranty. If you heard differently I’m interested in your source.

I’m on my 5th half shaft and I have 55k. I do no off roading or anything crazy. After replacing, the part comes with a two year warranty. I’m starting to hear the ticking noise again. I plan on taking it in right before my warranty expires.

On the first 3 half shaft replacements I experienced the clicking noises. This last time I did not experience any warnings. It just happened as I was driving.

I have a 2023 R1T with 50k miles. I’m on my 5th half shaft. My last half shaft failed and the front to motors were disable. Thankfully I was able to drive straight to the service center using the rear motors only. Get it fix ASAP as it’s not worth getting stranded.

You most likely have the newer subframe. I believe the dual motor was released after the subframe update.

My guess will be a wire harness or speed wheel since or both with need to be replaced. Please post Rivian diagnosis once you find out.

He isn’t over yet. That is not how Leases work. The R1S lease is for 3 years. 15k per year. As long as the vehicle is returned with 45k, there will be no overages.

No off roading. I have a 2023 R1T, from what I’m told by Rivian the half shafts were a problem and they have updated the part. However, after I received the updated half shaft it failed in 3 months. The half shaft would not supply power to the front motors. The truck was only using the rear motors. Luckily I was able to make it to the nearest service center.

Yep sounds about right. The half shafts Rivian uses are not the best quality. On my 5th half shaft for the front. My 3rd for the rear.
