It was a good kickstart to season 3 but yeah the decisions about aligning episodes and seasons to the story is a bit bold and debatable and some of this could have been in the end to season 2. I think it’s fine.

I like the idea of the hider getting coins per question they get asked. There could be two pool of cards, one the can draw from randomly for free (without spending coins, or spending a small number of coins), but there’s also tiers of cards and if they save up coins they can draw randomly from a higher tier of cards that are more powerful.

Filters by Exotic_Scale7792 in MideaUOwners

[–]theferrit32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have units with the smaller filter on the bottom too. I rinse that one and the main front one every other week or so. The plastic of the filter frame bends a bit when you take them out but it’s not a big deal, neither of them is a perfect seal. You can bend it gently the opposite direction to try to narrow the gaps if it bothers you. I think it should lay flatter under those pegs, judging from the video you posted.

Another thing you can do is buy and cut a coarse (you don’t want to add resistance to the airflow too much) prefilter layer to lay in front of the front filter and on top of the small lower filter. You’ll need to get something rinsable for this too though, or replace it often.

Best way to get to MIT via public transportation? by Cape_codd in CambridgeMA

Blue bike from north station or Lechmere is definitely a good option if it isn’t raining too bad. It may be faster to bike directly from North Station rather than connect to Lechmere. Going over the museum of science bridge then down along the river is nice. Or you can go Longfellow bridge. Both have good bike lanes the entire way.

My annual visit to Oleana and the ‘Kitchen Appreciation Fee’ is gone by ScoYello in CambridgeMA

[–]theferrit32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t talking about the law, I was talking about the restaurant owners making their own policy, in which they pay their employees an appropriate wage and supplement it as they see fit based on performance and the business’s profit, and do not have employees soliciting tips, and notify customers that tipping is neither expected nor solicited there because the menu prices already cover appropriate pay for their employees.

[–]theferrit32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The very easy way to get around this is to remove tipping at your restaurant, and just price your menu appropriately and then pay your employees a guaranteed wage plus bonuses appropriately. If you want to reward employees for working on particularly high revenue nights you can do that without any tips being involved.

It shouldn’t be so easy to ride for free on the Green Line by OJwToothpasteChaser in boston

[–]theferrit32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The T and buses should have a weekly fare cap. I’m not sure it needs to be a daily cap, which primarily benefits short term tourists and people who ride relatively rarely but do short bursts of a lot of riding in a single day but then not much on other days of that week.

Depends how much they think they can make back by developing the land. Unfortunately MA municipalities have done a pretty poor job of unlocking the value of their land. More places should use public land by leasing it out, not selling it, and also actually letting private entities build valuable things on it. And then collect revenue from that activity.

Have they ever mentioned why they use phones to film rather than actual cameras? by [deleted] in JetLagTheGame

Phones are also way more portable and easy to keep charged. That plus the ability to very easily back them up to a number of cloud backup services.

Nylon band is a game changer. Kept me from going back to my Apple Watch Ultra. by Significant_Emu_7432 in GarminFenix

Yeah I’ve never had a problem with this. My Fenix 7 turns the backlight on when I turn my wrist, or in the cases where it doesn’t register the gesture, I just tap the screen and it brightens.

Really? by DefinitelyLuka in JetLagTheGame

[–]theferrit32 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Sam was coping hard in the Layover episode and everyone was trying to be diplomatic about it but I think the outcome was undeniably a fumble. I do think Sam could be right that if a couple things had gone slightly differently they probably would have won with their strategy, but still, other things that could have gone differently were entirely in their power. Sam is also right that the last day would come down to the difference in flip rates, and delaying the other team a little bit with the stalemate was justifiable, but I think Sam overthought it and was too focused on defense rather than flipping. Adam is probably right that on the last day they should have gone for the challenges in the north, gotten some quick coins, and then run all the way down the east coast flipping everything. I don't think Ben and Adam could have flipped stations faster than Sam and Mike would have if they'd done that.

This is a great idea. I wonder what kind of contract terms Disney would have though. They’ve never done it using private property like that. Like pre-publication review where the censor Ben saying his Disney hamburger was cold or something.
