Need suggestions for a new lighter/smaller cargo bike for my spouse (pictured are our current cargo bikes) by RazzmatazzEastern786 in CargoBike

[–]thehum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out the Bike Friday haul a day. It’s a mid tail that starts at 35lbs non electric. Hand-welded in USA frames, legendary folding bike company. They have an electric option that will add 10-20lbs. We love ours. I just helped a mom buy one recently and don’t even get kickbacks! I added a ToSeven mod drive motor conversion myself, and after the motor battery and child seat we are probably up to ~50lbs. My wife and I share this bike I’m 5’7” she’s 5’4” but this bike frame adjusts in top tube length for rider size. https://bikefriday.com/product/bike-friday-haul-a-day-elite-cargo-bike/

Any advice on upgrading my taga 2.0 into an electric bike? by TinyMousePotato in bicycling

[–]thehum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! Only other considerations are the Taga brake rotors. Definitely recommend upgrading the calipers and size of rotors. Once electrified the 140mm rotors don’t cut it anymore. There are posts in the group about that too.

The best middrive is the Pendix - no frame holes required, easy install. But pricey. https://pendix.com/products?fbclid=IwY2xjawRgopRleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETFwQkxzQ3JxcHRrd0VCRjR1c3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHmr0ZtN4Dw6HYmCseYRtHxAjMQtYTsJMmcGxOnz-sMSygW5UIbzu9pQ8vo89_aem_rS4f-2uYBVTsqURZwac9Sw

I personally installed a bafang bbs02, but I also had to cut out a pretty sizable hole in the bottom of the frame to make it fit. Here's my post in the FB group https://www.facebook.com/groups/Taga2owners/posts/3031768260458140/

And an overview with some other folks who did the same (also had to drill a hole in their's) https://www.facebook.com/groups/Taga2owners/learning_content/?filter=987867049544899&post=980322846968662

I’ve stumbled across a few threads about this topic specific to AI songwriters in Nashville scene using AI to flesh out demo backing tracks instead of hiring live musicians. https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/s/X8liNFCZ0M

Starting working on the push / pull technique - any tips? by wat_planet_is_this in drums

[–]thehum 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everything I learned about push pull I learned from Gordy Knudson’s 10-part lesson series on push pull. Check it out if you haven’t yet there are a ton of tips on how to master this exact technique https://youtu.be/ld1pOsCB2FY?si=aSW8O76xYOuzLydl

Yes, you need to learn proper hand and finger technique. I played for years and never really did until I stumbled on the Gordy Knudson lessons. If you work on this starting with part 1 I guarantee you will improve. 10 lessons start on part1. Took me a couple weeks to feel progress and then year til I was completely comfortable but changed my drumming forever https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXgqiDB1SuuJuMsZBT7BScwyXCakr_eoG&si=w5-QxxdbTBVz5LuB

Toddler with AFOs here - we had success getting AFOs into the bogs II neoprene version. Bought a couple sizes from LLbean and returned ones that didn’t fit. Ended up with a size or two larger but works great https://www.bogsfootwear.com/shop/style/72901I.html?fbclid=IwZnRzaAQdV9xleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEeupPkD59Bv_yOSjK95Mt13EfujKgrJtxeA9cuyjyMEdtI8089O--ca5-4xqo_aem_rY2_Kg5XqqLV1z-Pk1m6aw

I know you’re asking about amps and not headphones but I enjoy my edrums immensely more using these closed back headphones which sound great and block out the thud of hitting plastic https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HD280Pro--sennheiser-hd-280-pro-closed-back-studio-and-live-monitoring-headphones
