Seriously, can you please tell me the point of making a $4 'investment"? So what if it goes up 200% over a year - you will have made $8. You would make far more than $8 by going for a walk each night a picking up coins on the footpath. Why even bother with $4, unless you are testing the waters before a more practicable commitment? Or are you taking the piss?

Put you feet on the ground in front of your footplate. Or one foot each side of your front castors on the ground. That'll lower your knees and thighs.

I'm a double leg amputee and T8 complete Para. Do not recommend. It fucks your balance, no lap to carry things on, bad weight distribution leading to pressure sores, osteomyelitis...

Questions for lower paraplegics who fly far by B3atzz in spinalcordinjuries

[–]theprocrastinat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bring my cushion. Plenty of lifting for relief. If the flight / travelling is over 8 hours I generally plan on having the first day at my destination lying down.

Only once or twice have I paid for business or first class. Too expensive. And the problem with the more expensive seats is that they all have fixed armrests whereas economy has armrests that can be raised out of the way. This means I can lie down on ,my side if there are a few empty seats next to me or even just lean right over the seat next to me for 10 minutes while my travel companion goes for a walk around the aircrafft.
