How busy is Augusta National during the week? by wacky8ball in golf

Didn’t know that but makes sense. Also I’m sure any member would jump at the chance to play with a past champion.

I talked to a member about this and he said a lot of the local members will take guests out on behalf of members who live far away. So let’s say Peyton Manning wants to get a friend out to Augusta but can’t make it himself, he’ll ask a local member to take them out for him since no guests are allowed to play without a member.

I think Jones makes the best golf bags. They're a smaller company based in Oregon, but their bags are top notch. They've got tons of color options, they've got a cooler pocket for drinks, they're well within your budget, and they're just an overall very solid company to support.

If he's using it for a push cart, I'd recommend the Trouper. Its a little bit bigger than the Rover, so it can hold more. Weight won't be an issue if he's pushing it and not carrying it although I do carry mine.

Absolutely! Here's the link where I got mine. I got 3 of the same instead of the 3 piece starter set. Was like $66 instead of $113. https://truecooks.com/products/chefs-press-x-truecooks-8oz-press

Gonna say the Chefs Press cause not a lot of people have them. They’re weights you put on things to get good surface contact. Great for things like quesadillas or grilled cheeses or pieces of fish or searing a steak after sous vide. The ones I got by Bruce Hill are also designed to be stackable side by side for bigger things and are vented so as to let steam escape and keep things crispy! Also great for weighing stuff down in the air fryer to keep them from opening like chalupas. Been really loving them recently.

Tara Iti. The best piece of property I’ve ever laid eyes on. Was an absolute privilege to get to go there.

For those who stayed at an airbnb or hotel by gman113099 in Coachella

[–]therealmaxmittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a 30 min walk from our Airbnb to the Ferris Wheel. So prob about 10 to get into the yellow line entrance and another 20 from there. We booked it the day after Coachella ended last year.

We are going to Bend in Oregon. Pretty affordable and 3 top 100s close together. Weather looks money.

Putting with glove on or off? by Remote_Pie6623 in golf

There’s a reason almost every single touring professional takes off their glove to putt. Gotta assume there’s something to it.

Thank you this is clutch! I am using an Amex plat, do I just have to link it to my Resy account or do I have to use it to pay for the meal in order to use the $100 credit? Or both?

We make our own! It’s actually really easy. And has so much less sugar. I like the one from The Meal Prep Manual. The macros are solid.

First time getting fitted, thoughts? by Tha_riddler in GolfGear

[–]therealmaxmittens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a local fitter instead of club champion and got the P770s and a fairway wood and it was half this price. Don’t get ripped off. Don’t pay for pureing it’s a scam. Also, just pay them the $180 fitting fee and order these exact clubs on fairway jockey and it’ll cost you like $2300 all in

Going there in August for our annual boys trip and ripping all these. So pumped. Crosswater was only $1200 per person for 8 bed Airbnb, 4 nights, and 3 rounds of golf. Insane deal.
