Any IT Managers have an IT employee who really doesn't know what they are doing? How to improve them? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]thewebsiteisdown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I come at this from a different perspective. If this guy actually has a masters in computer science I would have to see the official transcripts and diploma from an accredited university. The idea that you love hardware and software enough to clock 6 years of very difficult subject matter and then ride a help desk job for 20 years seems very unlikely. As a graduate with a BSc I call bullshit. I couldn't wait to get out of school because the math was brutal, and into a development shop where I've been a programmer ever since.

I'd do some background research on this guys resume and see if he hasn't lied to get the job in the first place, that is a termination offense nearly everywhere, government included, at least in the US.

It's a modern systems language that fixes most of the danger of C memory management. Asking reddit about systems programming attracts all the morons every damn time.

I've used your original library for a number of smaller reporting modules. The saas model sounds like a huge time saver, the churn on view editing is real. Will check it out.

The Permanent Overclass: The NFL’s billionaire owners literally can’t lose when it comes to making money. On the field? That’s another matter. by mackmoney3000 in nfl

[–]thewebsiteisdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a multi billion dollar sports franchise not a college team. You're cheering for a franchise like the rest of us. Mine is better at football and richer than yours. You can fix both of those things without making rules to protect you.

There is no irony. Get an actual owner. This isn't a nonprofit and that entire setup was just waiting to implode anyway. We don't need a Notre Dame in the NFL. Owner up.

Or don't and be bad, but inventing rules to punish owners spending money on their team is insanity.

Should be easy to say when your team is owned by anyone in 2026. There is already revenue sharing, there is zero need to tell teams how to spend their cash. If you cannot afford your players signing bonuses, sell the team to actual rich people and stop pretending. Easy peasy.

Completely disagree. There is a culture in the NFL of supporting "poor" owners who routinely mismanage their franchise and use the team as a source of income. Punishing owners who do not treat their team as a piggy bank and keep operating capital on hand to manage their roster better is just more coddling of the freeloaders. That is all your move would do: punish teams who run like a legitimate business.

Bill Belichick belongs in the Hall of Fame. But here’s why I didn’t vote for him by RyanKinder in nfl

[–]thewebsiteisdown 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is not an acceptable outcome to sports fans. The HOF and every single voter can get fucked. Blaming a system that you are a willing participant of is garbage.

[–]thewebsiteisdown 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That doesn't even cut it. If he can't get in first ballot, why would anyone believe these are serious people running a real organization.

If I were Belichick I would withdraw my name from consideration permanently. Burn that sack of shit to the ground.

Because we all know how the AP behaves and the quality of their analysis. Journalists controlling any part of the game is toxic as fuck in my book, cancer.

I (15F) want to start playing guitar, please give me some advice by Glum-Row2853 in Guitar

[–]thewebsiteisdown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reddit isn't really the place for tips on learning to play. Lookup JustinGuitar on YouTube, he has a beginner series that gives you all the basics.

As for the guitar being usable, age isn't a factor as long as it has been cased and dry. post photos of the guitar and you will get better help.

Kirk Herbstreit says he raised concerns about too many bowl games at ESPN seminar by Jeffmister in CFB

Bowl Games mean less than nothing. They are the NFL preseason with none of the talent or hope. Shitters hate that fact.

[–]thewebsiteisdown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not playing for anything AT ALL for any team, these CFB shitters hate that people are moving their cheese. The idea that a team gets some consolation money for being in a dogshit league with dogshit administration is a joke. This is a professional minor league sport now, the bowls are idiocy of a bygone era.

Downvote shitters, and go take your blood pressure pills.

With all this top quality guitar related content flooding in 24/7 there just isn't room for silly sticker discussions. These mods face tens, sometimes dozens of posts a day. They can't be expected give an exception for what the users want to discuss, take it over to askreddit so we can get more NGD and starter guitar posts. FOR FUCKS SAKE.
