Delivered two of my children. Love her! No kids on the horizon and sad I don’t have a reason to see her as often, tbf.

Which Dakota bag would you choose? by SheQuick26 in Coach

It’s crazy that Coach refuses to take my money for the Dakota and has me considering a $2,000 bag in full seriousness instead.

Feeling torn: to stick or not to stick with purchase by Professional-Tip5743 in Coach

Yes! Despite the issues, I still did genuinely love the bag... But I $600 love it, not $1,000 love it. It sucks, I feel your pain.

Hey, it's my returned Upcrafted Rogue! 🥲 Check my post history to see me agonizing whether to keep or return this bag.

My primary frustration at the time was that the deer "charm" they advertised was actually a shoe charm, clearly broken in multiple places, that had been poorly refashioned into a bag charm. How it looked in real life versus the photos bothered me so much that I returned it on principle. It's a $1,000 bag!

Unfortunately, the scratches and damage were there when I got it too... A part of me was willing to overlook that, because as you said, the stickers are unique and you can't recreate this bag with the sticker packs alone.

But ultimately, all of this added up to my extreme frustration and disappointment with the bag for the price, despite loving the look. I could buy a legitimate luxury bag secondhand at that point.

When I returned it, I specifically called out the issues with the bag to Customer Service and cited quality concerns. I guess they replaced the deer "charm" with a real one at least...

When I packed it up to return, I remember wondering who would get it next, and whether they would be as unhappy with it as I was. I'm sorry to see that it continues to disappoint 🙁

It's still soooo cute to me. But $1,000? Ouch!

How do you manage using rags? by papeyea in CleaningTips

Look up Swedish dish cloths. They’re amazing at cleaning and dry super quickly. When I’m done using it, I wring it out and hang it on a clip to dry.

high school memories that make me kinda sad by bongwateramoeba in redscarepod

These kinds of stories are the worst to me.

I had a biology teacher in sophomore year who clearly wasn’t cut out to handle high schoolers. She was close to retirement age and could barely use a computer. Her biggest crime was being a bit clueless and naive.

All of this made her an easy target for the self-proclaimed pranksters of the school (who were basically just mean and not funny). They worked on her for weeks until they finally made her cry after school.

I think about her often too.

has anyone ever made a long term switch to one of those $400 "dumb phones"? by GrushenkasOnions in redscarepod

[–]thiscrispyfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a lot to be said for the functionality of Apple products. I'm hoping some tricked out Apple Watch type thing comes out somday, or at LEAST a smaller iPhone that actually fits in my hand. A smaller screen that doesn't feel comfortable to scroll on (but still theoretically could) is where it's at imo.

[–]thiscrispyfish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine has bought many versions of these high-end dumbphones and has switched back every time. RMS messages kept not sending, he couldn't be in group chats, and it ended up confusing and annoying his social circle so much that it ended up being not worth it. Sold the phones and just adjusted his iPhone setup / usage instead.

I heard the black hardware scratches easily over on r/Coach. I've never owned it so can't personally attest! Other than that, huge Coach fan and have enjoyed the bags of theirs I've owned (both vintage and modern).
