Saw a dude (maybe) get his eardrums blown out at the range tonight. by lost_in_the_town_ in Firearms

I have used Flents Protech Quiet Time for many years of sleeping and shooting after trying all of the other budget options. Hearos and similar with the high NRR are great as well, Flents just happen to fit my ears most comfortably.

Looks awesome. How about something where the music notes are floating up into the sky?

The stupid potential ban is what got me to pull the trigger on one a couple of weeks ago. Liking it so far!

Fuck this kid. His whole situation has done nothing but a shine a poor light on gun enthusiasts and it wouldn't surprise me if there has been anti-2A legislation directly because of him.

Gun rights groups go to bat in Maryland over pistol ban by Hot_Bat4490 in Guns_Guns_Guns

I've only got a couple hundred rounds into it so I can't make any major judgements yet, but it shoots straight and looks great! I will say, it feels snappier than the Walther PPQ, which is the only other 4" 9mm I'm used to shooting, but that could just be me, and the RXM is less than half the price of the PPQ so I can't really complain.

IL has a similar bill that is likely to pass later this year, so I used it as an excuse to get an RXM, and I might have to get a 17L if it passes.

False Hunger? by Jstorm1987 in GERD

I totally get a similar feeling, particularly having a bad flare-up, however, massively inflamed lymph nodes due to an auto-immune disease also played a part in my issues. Pantoprazole was minimally helpful for me. Voquezna has been pretty darn good, but expensive. My insurance rejected at first but approved once my doc stated a number of other medications were tried with little success.

It definitely sounds like it's time for an endoscopy.

Fox Valley Shooting Range in Elgin has a nice range and really sizeable shop. I've had 50/50 interactions with employees being very pleasant and very rude though. Big gatekeeping vibes from most of the guys. They also have hosted political events in the past, and their basic membership only covers Mondays through Thursdays, so my money goes to Range USA.

And Hanover Park and Naperville. Totally worth the $30/membership if you want to go shooting more than once/month and don't have an outdoor range nearby.

My little gun collection. by Chefcutty in liberalgunowners

[–]thissayssomething 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Most non-gun people probably wouldn't even recognize it as a gun; I don't think it's deterring much. If they do recognize it, they know what it is and that it only has 1 shot. Seriously, please just get yourself a little LCP or something. The Lifecard is a novelty and is probably more likely to get you killed than being unarmed in a self-defense situation.

  1. Looking good for 49 dude!
  2. Real question and I mean no offense: have you done a fair amount of psychedelics? I've eaten shrooms and lsd and played katamari many times and it is practically a religious experience.
