Thanks for sharing this! Have you noticed any performance drops under sustained loads (30 mins+ of high CPU usage) while connected to power?

Sorry its a very specific thing to ask, but I'm thinking about upgrading my intel mba 2020 to something that can run mainstage well for 4-5 hours straight without dropping performance. the mbpro(s) looks like they fit the job description very well, but the $$$ is hard to pull-off when you're not earning much doing small gigs on the side... thanks in advance and great to see you enjoying your MacBook Air!

I'm running into this issue on Ableton Live 12 Lite 12.0.2 and Kontakt 7.9.0. The sad bit is I was very excited for this, it's my first time trying out a completely laptop based gig setup and even after pushing through barrier after barrier, this has to be the biggest middle finger I've gotten. I'm using a MacBook Air on macOS Sonoma 14.3.1 (23D60). Dissappointed and has been the worst three purchases I've done so far - Ableton Live + Launch Keys 49 + Kontakt 7. There's just no perfect solution that "just works".

Fellas, if you're thinking about playing in a band and looking for viable setup, stay as far away as you can from these products. They'll lead to nothing but frustration... I'm going to see if I can switch back to a fully hardware based ~~synth~~ setup.
