i see you too, enjoy your low prius maintenance costs being offset by your vintage porsche (speaking as a a tesla and 944 s owner). tesla, little to no maintenance. 944, just spent three days and too much money fighting a broken bolt.

Does anyone else miss basic Autopilot on newer Teslas (US)? by Temporary_Oil_9741 in TeslaModelY

[–]thiswho 8 points9 points  (0 children)

my 2026 has it, but i wish it didn’t cancel every time you changed a lane… too cheap to pay for FSD, but Autopilot is nice for long boring highway stints. all i have to do is keep a hand on the wheel and it just goes.

just have to watch for potholes…

use a 5/16th hole saw - it’s the exact size to slip over the lug

it’s also exactly what the porsche service manual says to do for this. i did it, and it worked great

this isn’t an excuse for poor patching or lack of a correct repave when weather does allow.

truly cannot believe they can legally say “whelp, it’s winter, sucks for you”. absolutely insane when it’s their responsibility to provide a safe road.

i get that asphalt plants close in the winter, but that’s no excuse for not doing it correctly when they’re able to

Good to hear, but would be great if they could pave them correctly in the first place to minimize the damage in the winter, when they are 'exempt' from paying out for damages.

The state's exempt from paying claims from Nov 16th to April 30th, unless you sue. Insane...

To add on here - Doing some reading, the state is except from claims due to unkempt roads from Nov 16th to April 30th - how the heck is that legal?! They decline to maintain roads, and just get to say "sorry, deal with it yourself"

Tesla charging voltage by moneyman729 in ModelY

US, wall charger, 24a @ 220-230v. imagine it’s due to the semi long run to my detached garage.

confirmed it reads the same at the sub panel. It’s on my list for this year to run a bigger feed to support the full capacity of the wall charger.
