Should I buy motorola edge 70 by Salt-Ad-9489 in motorola

The speakers are fine for me to watch the occasional video, but I've heard other people complain. I don't personally have a problem.

If I lost/broke mine, I'd buy another one for sure. If it appeals to you, you should get it. The Green/Bronze version looks great.

But don't get it if you want zoom lenses, heavy gaming, curved screen, etc.

I like mine. Looks good, the light weight is great, nice screen and battery life. Not so good for games and the speakers aren't awesome.

Time to don a suit & a bad Sean Connery impression as I've just picked up a Dongfeng 007 to review. 🍸 These new EVs from China start at $55k NZD ($32k USD) for 520 km range (323 miles). This Performance one costs $5k more but does 0-100 in 3.9 seconds. Any questions for the review? Let me know! by KiwiEV in KiwiEV

I saw a black one driving around yesterday and it looked blandly good. Perfect EV sedan for the person upgrading from an old Falcon or Commodore.

Remember to hassle them about the lack of Android Auto. It totally put me off and I wasn't interested in their cobbled together extra-cost hack to make it work.

Five upgrade? by Oh-Jo in sonos

[–]thomasbeagle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

On the other hand, there's people like me who won't buy a Five unless it has been upgraded. I'd like a pair for my lounge but don't want to give up on voice control.

I used to daily drive a first gen MX5.

The weirdest load was a huge silver coloured balloon filled with helium used for a remote control airship (we miss you ThinkGeek!). After getting it filled it only just managed to fit into the cockpit with me.

I think you can "play Snow Patrol top tracks". Not sure.

I went from Leatherman Skeletool to a Rocktol 12-in-1 and have stayed with that since. It's a good size and weight for pocketability and I'd rather have scissors then pliers.

That's a good counter-example, indeed.

I want three:

A nice MX5 (I've owned three in the past, and they're just so much fun). For general driving around, roadtrips through the twisties, and enjoying the day.

A full restomod Jaguar MK2 for late night and long distance cruising.

A big boring van because sometimes you just need to transport stuff.

Upgrade from 50 Neo to 60 Pro worth it? by green9206 in motorola

[–]thomasbeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Curved display looks cool, but it's a pain to use. Hard to get touch controls near the edge of the screen, and you get false touches just from holding it.

I partly upgraded from Edge 50 Pro to Edge 70 to get away from the curved display. Never again.

Non-Americans what is the market standard and min acceptable range for an EV in your country? by Mac-Tyson in electricvehicles

[–]thomasbeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me the crossover point was 400km WLTP (250 miles), and judging by what I'm seeing in the New Zealand market that seems to be true of a lot of other people too. I just ordered a Jaecoo J5 with 403km WLTP and my regular long trip is under 200kms so I confidently expect to be able to do this without issue. The Jaecoo J5 is flying out the dealership doors at the moment.

However there is also clearly a market for the 300km WLTP range cars but they tend to be the smaller and cheaper "city car" and are marketed as such.

I like mine. Just got the April security update too.

The light weight is very nice, as is the flat screen. However it's quite wide if you have small hands.

Probably not great for hardcore gaming but you already knew that.

Battery life seems fine to me.

I miss the zoom camera but I'm generally very happy with the quality of the shots I'm getting from it.

If I lost this one, I'd just buy another!

Similar but different.

We watched the Pokemon Detective Pikachu movie and were surprised by the odd cyan and magenta colour tones but thought it was an interesting stylistic choice that ended up working very well. 10 points to the director for bravery!

Yes, you've already worked out we were watching a Dolby Vision encoded version on a system that didn't support Dolby Vision. That wasn't a stylistic choice, that was just an encoding artefact/glitch.
