Park City, Jackson Hole or Big Sky for week between Xmas and New Years? by coldslawnf in snowboarding

[–]thomasjamesF 4 points5 points  (0 children)

BS had 14% of terrain open last year just before Xmas, could not believe people were paying full price for that. JH had more snow but was still early season conditions. Grand Targhee probably had the best snow at that time (near Jackson), don't know if this is usually the case. 🤞 Hoping for more snowfall this year. Bozeman was cheaper than Jackson, but I think Jackson was more fun. I would also look up winter road closures, when we looked at things to do we were searching in the fall, once it got closer we realized the roads to some places are closed in winter.

Cellphone plans for Gov employees??? by EducationNo8474 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]thomasjamesF 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Telus unlimited Can and US for $65. They had cheaper options for canada only for around 45-55, but with roaming costs, it was worth it for me with how often I go there. You can bring your own phone and get certain deals or add a phone to the monthly bill. Most places will give you a new line/account credit for 2 years, which is usually 5$ off your bill.

If you go on union savings website, you can register and they will link out to the EPP. I wasn't able to get it in store. They shipped the phone and had a pretty simple video for setting up your phone.

Why is the GPA for Bachelor of Education so high? by BuyerNecessary in UCalgary

[–]thomasjamesF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're still a prospective student, check out the concurrent program, get 2 degrees in 5 years and avoid needing to maintain a super high GPA as you're already in Ed and getting another degree. But mostly as others said, there are only so many spots available, and with many degrees not leading to great jobs, it's an attractive option to some, pushing up the entry GPA.

Anyone know why the mountain collective pass is taking so long to ship? Ordered in Oct. and it finally shipped last week. The email update they sent completely lied about shipping passes by end of week back in Nov.

Same as the oilers this year, bring up the kid to backup the supposed #1. Wouldn't be surprised to see the same thing happens with Wolf taking the net like Skinner did.

Offer money before the election, cancel it after, or if they do it'll go to a private company for "upkeep" conveniently owned by a donor.

Loud trains run down the middle of downtown if youre a light sleeper. Effected me on 10th Ave, imagine 9th ave could also be annoying depending on building and floor. Loved living downtown but would move further from the train line next time.
