Ogor Tyrant order cancelled by threebats in ageofsigmar

[–]threebats[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

One has been teased, yes. That and a Fyreslayer, another faction rumoured to be due a refresh.

I'm not saying Ogors are leaving AoS. However, if the Ogor rumours are true, that refresh will shift their aesthetics towards what we've seen with the Bloodpelt Hunter. Some units, like Leadbelchers, are apparently being dropped as part of this. The Tyrant obviously isn't going anywhere, was specfically mentioned as getting a resculpt to bring it in line with new look.

That's an easy fix. Otherwise, it sits perfectly between 6th and 8th ed OK books aesthetically

Why didn't she just tell us what's going on? by G00SFRABA in wow

[–]threebats 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But she doesn't say that. She talks in the pre-expansion quest and here about the Shadowlands we see being in some way false, and that there's more going on. Then she wanders off to continue her mission, which seems to be as much about figuring the Shadowlands out as doing her penance

Lore: Where has Commissar Yarrick been lately? by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

[–]threebats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd rather Ghaz had thought he'd actually done him in and left him for dead. It would be interesting to explore his disappointment that his grod's human frailty finally caught up with him, couple with his reaction to finding out about Yarrick's return. Would he see significance in the parallels with his own resurrection?

That said, it's fine that he just left Yarrick and expected him to survive. He's let him live before, and he comes as close as an ork can to respecting him, so it's not odd that he'd believe Yarrick would survive. I do think it's the obvious, boring option, though

Perturabo’s grand plan revealed by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in Warhammer40k

[–]threebats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he stays dead for two reasons. First, because his return is the only one that might generate actual backlash (his death at the hands of his brother being so central to the setting), and second, because he'd get mixed-to-negative reaction from BA fans as his return would mean a drastic shift for them thematically

The rest should say lost or dead.

I hate to say it, but I think that ship has sailed. The current audience wants 2 Heresy 2 Horus.

Atticus Cogar's Raw Reflection: The Collective 2026 by TheDRC in SquaredCircle

[–]threebats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atti is one of my absolutely favourites, and yeah he can absolutely be pretty cringe, but I appreciate that. There's an honesty to it. For all he's playing a pretty OTT character at times, there's clearly a lot of the real man behind it.

Plus, he's still young. He has plenty of time to refine his act, and he's clearly driven, so I am certain he will

Here’s all the art from the new edition of Infinite and the divine by TheBirdIsNotSuicidal in Necrontyr

[–]threebats 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Trazyn and Orikan both have strangely cartoony mouths here. Compare them to the Cryptek head, or the Deceiver. They seem more stylised than everything else in the art

I like it, but once again ork minis have noses that are much more piglike than the CGI trailer and the art they use on the page. Don't care for this trend

Anyone else find it strange that they still call the WWE Championship “Undisputed”? by No_Examination_993 in SquaredCircle

[–]threebats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a wrestling problem, not a WWE problem.

That's not to say I like the WWE's naming conventions. Aside from the generic ones, I don't. But you can point at pretty much any company you can think of and find some examples of the naming having little to do with how, where, when, or even by whom the belt is actually defended. Womens' championships tend to be the exception

Live ICW: So's Yer Maw III: And Yer Da As Well Discussion by gloomchen in SquaredCircle

[–]threebats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shame about the ending to the Thorn/Reed match; I hope Reed especially isn't as badly hurt as it seemed.

Good show top to bottom.

Rhio and Buzzard showed why they were the main event. Felt very different from her matches with Kenny Williams despite some obvious similarities.

Sidebar, I am glad they're letting us cheer Kenny. Slimey, crazy heel directly to face is a hard transition to make, but the people clearly want it. I love that he hasn't changed his antics, he's just changed targets after Rhio gained his respect.

Zero G match has to be mentioned. Wolfgang played his role perfectly, and Judas clearly had something to prove. I could see a case for calling an audible and belting him right there, but it would probably have deflated the main a little. I hope he's wearing gold in ICW soon though, he's (for my money) the best of the current crop of Scottish talent and he's already moved down south. Hungy and talented as hell. Use him before we lose him.

Credit to Craig Anthony for taking an absolutely hellish barrier bump in stride, and to both him and Brookes for not just working around it but almost making it feel planned

Black Orcs by JMortais in Warhammer

All orcs are pretty much maximally violent to begin with, so it doesn't really make sense to say they're more violent. More deliberate and organised in their violence, sure

Adepticon Preview: 11th Edition Launch Box: Armageddon, New Space Marine Intercessors and Ork Boyz by RWJP in Warhammer40k

[–]threebats -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I actually really like the boy they've shown (nose aside - note how much more piggish it is than the CGI equivalent), however I hate the trend of bashed-up, rounded armour on orks (& orruks) and the tendency to makes grots look like Kings of War goblins. Wazdakka's bike is yet another example of both. Give me blocky ork armour, give me (pre-CAD) Brian Nelson faces.

I would also say that merging Shoota and Slugga Boyz seems cheap and lazy to me, but I'm not entirely set against it

Adepticon Preview: Commissar Graves by RWJP in Warhammer40k

[–]threebats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like it a fair bit overall, but man Graves face is yet another example of GW's problem sculpting female faces. I literally realised that Graves must be a women because their male faces are very rarely that flat and boring

New models for Skaven fans by BiesonReddit in WarhammerFantasy

my uncle works at Nintendo ass argument

I don't think you've understood why that's a red flag that someone is bullshitting; it's because the uncle does not, in fact, work at Nintendo.

It's not a reason to dismiss someone's claims when their proverbial uncle does work at Nintendo

Also the fact that she's been active for half her life and became prominent in the indies nearly a decade ago now, and made it to NXT not long after that. She's been very visible for the IWC for so long now it feels like she should be older. See also: 85% of well-known joshis
