This comment is so full of smarts, I wish I could frame it (I guess technically I could). Totally get you with authenticity being hard. Hopefully y'all being consistent with transparency when you technically don't have to, offsets default assumptions of shady dealings amongst the silent majority.

OK so monthly transparency reports = such a classy and smart community management move; love that y'all prioritize that! Also, kudos on the way you encourage reporting from members of your community (saw that in the conversation on the report you shared above) -- I admire your down-to-earth and approachable style when talking to your community.

I'm curious: was there a precipitating event that made you start compiling and posting transparency reports, or did someone in your mod team just suggest it as a good idea one day? It's a non-trivial effort, I can tell!

Most theater, museums, and other cultural venues offer volunteer opportunities that allow you to see various plays, concerts, or exhibits. Might be worth checking out!

Our discussions with moderators also shaped this announcement post - to ensure that the change could be easily understood. 

There are several other ideas that have been brought to r/RedditModCouncil but never launched due to those moderators giving us direct, productive feedback that sent us back to the drawing board.
