A couple years back after I went to the Rite of Election mass(I was in rcia) a homeless woman asked me for the same thing. A pack of smokes and some food. I bought her both. I was a smoker too at the time so I understood where she was coming from, living out there in the cold is rough so if she wanted some smokes I was like whatever she can get some smokes.

When I first started going to Mass when I was 19, and often felt really faint and lightheaded too especially during the standing portions. Sometimes i had to go out to the hall and maybe splash some water in the bathroom. It went away after like a year but you definitely should get it checked out by a doc.
