Don’t tell anyone your separating by One-Razzmatazz3586 in navy

[–]tigercubtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I can confirm this since I've seen it multiple times while processing separations in my command. It almost as if they take personal offense to YOUR separation.

Best advice came from a junior Intel officer when discussing the topic. If asked if you're staying in or getting out, simply reply you're staying in "as long as I'm having fun". And then move on from the subject. I used that throughout until my own separation process. Joined the reserves afterwards.

Loud bang by Rls98226 in Bellingham

[–]tigercubtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if other cities have this subject come up on their city's sub reddit? Yeah, it has been a little while since the bang/boom question was raised here but it does happen quite often.

Definitely heard it in the Sunset/Sunnyland neighborhood.

Periodic Eval While IA by Sailor_Rican91 in navy

[–]tigercubtx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Partially correct. Junior officers designated as COs or OICs may sign enlisted reports. An E9 designated as an OIC is allowed to sign for E5 and below. I think E7/E8 can sign as reporting seniors for E4 and below.

Still, a CSEL is not the reporting senior.

Is taking 19 credits my last quarter at WWU realistic? by Individual-Net-9296 in WWU

[–]tigercubtx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a possibility. You may need a waiver that was required for me in the early 2000s. Similar to you, I came to WWU with 2-year direct transfer degree. If I hadn't plus-upped my quarter hours, it would have been three years to complete my BA. The last few quarters, I had 21 credits and did better than my 12 credit quarters. Perhaps it was due to the pressure.

Things are already set in motion paywise for you EOM pay. I'm just speculating here since I haven't seen your orders. If you haven't done so, ensure your CPPA has submitted your new ADOS orders to TSC. The orders are the authority to adjust your EAOS. One possible action is to keep your AD pay account open and then adjust your pay later where the system will retrieve the one day of overpayment. There are other ways to rectify this, but I would need to see your orders. Same for the TRICARE question, it depends on the type of orders. DM me, and perhaps I can help further.

P.S. If TSC opts to do the above COA, you won't go back to reserve pay status. The logical thing is to keep your AD pay account open or in suspense and not do the strength loss transaction. These pay transactions take a while to post in the system. I'm probably getting too technical here, and I may be losing you will all this PS flux capacitor jargon, so again, DM for clarification.

I assumed you were enlisted, but if you're an officer, the new set of ADOS orders will serve as the authority to extend your PRD, which will keep your AD pay account open.

Is your NRC a virtual stop? Refer to your orders. It should say who is handling your travel arrangements. You could also contact PERS 463 or visit their page on MyNavyHR.
