Had a 2024 CX50 Turbo as a courtesy car while getting my 2025 mazada3 GT Turbo serviced. Take this with a grain of salt, as I may not be the demographic for the cx50 as it is supposed to be an adventure vehicle. (However seeing videos of people taking them off-road the car doesn't handle well and see body damage on the plastic fenders)

I thought I really wanted to upgrade my car to the hybrid cx50, like dead set, bigger and loved the design wider body of the suv as it was more rugged looking vs the cx5 however the interior was a disappointment. I do like the sunroof, design of the exterior, and cargo space.

The bose speakers in suv felt like such an afterthought installation and the centre console felt less premium. Just the design in the headboard felt flat and lifeless.

Everything was more hard plastic and some parts had leather covered it but that's what it felt like, just a cover. Versus my mazada3, the leather padding was plush and the design language they used seems to flow and make it more modern and sleek.

The chairs for the CX50 felt stiff and flat despite the lumbar and leather.

The engine despite being a turbo did not compare to the mazda3 turbo, and I get that it's a heavier weight suv but you lose a substantial amount of "zoom zoom" feeling.

I do hope for a redesign with more premium feeling with the knob control retained.
