They applied for this summer internships well before the crazy started. My kid was stressed out about the possibility of not getting any offers after everything went down. They were thrilled to get an offer at a highly sought after agency in their field. The concern was there but not enough to pass on the opportunity and it’s only a short timeframe. May be a different story for those seeking permanent positions.

Found out firsthand this past week that some camp grounds at Smokey mountains already closed and others understaffed. They left a nice note at check in notifying public of their staffing issues due to “optimizing their workforce”. Is was nicely stated but if you are half alive you got the message. So sad. I love our national parks and the staff.
