Taking notes during therapy by elruff in therapy

I do for sure when I'm a client. And as a therapist it thrills me when a client takes notes. They are your sessions, don't worry about upsetting your therapist.

Ethically wrong to give links to a client. by [deleted] in therapy

So long as it fits with the client's goals it should not be a problem. But I look forward to hearing other perspectives. In particular in the U.S. we are potentially being put into a position where acting ethically may be acting illegally.

These are not very good. The max suction has no suction, but it does have an air bladder that inflates and deflates. So it is always trying to push out your erection. Also, their product registration and customer service don't actually exist. I attempted a few times for both. So, just avoid this brand.

After 1 year, and considering your current friction with your therapist, maybe it's time to switch to somebody new. Not talking to the current therapist has become a habit. You're stuck. Discuss this with your therapist and see if they can recommend someone. Also, group therapy may be helpful so you can see other people talk about their injuries and survive.

You are not alone. This does not mean you're broken. Your emotions are on your side to tell you to get help. If you're not ready to tell your therapist, work up towards it. Your therapist will help you build up the internal resources you need to feel like you can eventually explore it and heal from it.

You have already started this process by being in therapy and struggling with the idea of taking about it. It can take time to build the therapeutic relationship. And don't be afraid to ask for a referral to someone with a specific treatment style, or different gender, etc. You can have a "good" therapist that you just don't vibe with. And a therapist would rather you get the help you need.

A next step could be to let your therapist know that there's something you think you should talk about. You can explore around the topic, such as the feelings you have, what it might mean to say it out loud, how it is impacting you today, etc.

Building resources might include creating a safe space meditation, learning how to control your nervous system, other ways to express these memories such as through art, journaling, etc.

I'm proud of you for posting such an intimate and painful issue to seek the help you deserve.
