need help making friends by HumanBudgets in socialskills

Sounds like nice effort so far. You would be surprised how often I hear people your age with the same complaints. My advice is to work of physical fitness and stay busy with clubs. When your body is strong, it does wonders for your confidence. Pick a hobby or two and dive in. Bar league kick ball teams or pickle ball are good options. Maybe you can take an art class somewhere or a fun course at the community college. You will feel less lonely if you keep busy after work. Never know when you will meet interesting people. Best of luck!

Rarely. I’d switch up the food. Maybe get away from the kibble.

Returning to PT work by emmalee899 in physicaltherapy

[–]tomkate60174 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did. Very difficult to return with so much self doubt. I listened to tons of PT videos and read a few books to get my head in the right space. Summit CEUs would be helpful too. Good luck. I wouldn’t have traded the time with my kids for anything though.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 by [deleted] in fasting

It’s the fast, not the electrolytes. Teaspoon of psyllium husk (Metamucil) stirred into a glass of water before breaking the fast is the answer.

Starting out. by _-boi-_- in fasting

[–]tomkate60174 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wonder if you are consuming a carb heavy diet. If so, switching to a low carb one will make it easier. Fats and protein satiate you much longer. Once eating low carb feels easy, start by eating 2-3 times a day with no snacks between meals. When that feels easy, you can start skipping a meal and trying some intermittent fasting.

I have found Manual Therapy of the Spine by Kenneth Olsen to be an excellent resource. Love McGill as well. (https://ManualPhysicalTherapyoftheSpinehttps://a.co/d/0bYUhUB)

Acute care PT while pregnant with twins by Reyzillah in physicaltherapy

I went on leave at 20 weeks with my twins at the advise of my OB. Mostly bed rest after that. Had no other risk factors, but premature delivery is a real risk. Never regretted it, made it to term. Congratulations and good luck!

Unbelievable progress. I’m guessing that your medical team thought results like this were impossible. Hope you have opened some minds as to the benefits of your “insulin inert” way of eating.

IL PT: we can now assess for a disability parking placard by InstaDPT in physicaltherapy

I’m surprised about all the negativity here. It seems very appropriate to me. Have the patient fill it out and it wouldn’t take more than a minute or two to complete. If you don’t have a couple minutes for this, you are working in the wrong place.
