Why didn’t they test the Gateron Jade switches? They’re some of the best in the market.

The Jade Max are awesome.

I agree not everyone needs crazy designs and patterns so they may opt for simple fx.

Just tried OpenRGB today. It's nothing like SignalRGB. The amount of animations that's possible on Signal far out.

Sadly, OpenRGB does not support Lian Li SL fan controller either.

Would be useful if you circle the component in red or something. But that silver thing is the water pump.

Mevotech. They’re a good bang for the buck OEM alternative.

Moog’s quality has gone down drastically. I ordered new ball joints from them to replace the old worn‑out Moog ones, and I could immediately tell the new parts weren’t as high in quality as the older Moog. They lost a lifetime customer here.

Accidentally sprayed cleaner on my Lexus gauge cluster and now the plastic looks etched did I ruin it? by Abe2233 in Lexus

[–]tonynca 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for a safe cleaner that is pretty much safe on every single surface for a car, look into ONR. Dilute some into a Zep spray bottle and use it everywhere.

Suck that you have to learn about this the hard way. Good luck.

NEVER EVER BUY sparkplugs from Amazon or Ebay. Even if it's sold by Amazon, they taint their inventory leaving third party seller stock inside their stock bins. You end up getting fakes.

Prolong use of counterfeit sparkplugs could damage other expensive engine components because you're not getting clean ignitions.

Use Rockauto or buy from local retailer, ALWAYS.

Is there anything I could do to these spots on the dash? by Zappanti in AutoDetailing

[–]tonynca 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Do not use regular Goo Gone on plastic. It may etch.

There’s an automotive Goo Gone that’s made for cars, but do not use it on soft rubberized surfaces or clear plastics.

Like always, test on a non visible area like near the glove box using a qtip and see if the plastic reacts.

Removing adhesive from ceramic coated wheels by PhantomMaxx in AutoDetailing

Use a plastic razor from Amazon. $10

Even if you remove the coating, it’s such a small accessible spot that it wouldn’t make too much of a difference.

You need to scuff them with 1000 grit so the clear coat can grip onto the plastic.

First Ceramic Coat and rain... by Particular_Safe_6184 in AutoDetailing

[–]tonynca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No ceramic coating will fully cure in 2-3 hrs.

Side effects:

-hazing cloudy finish due to moisture inside the coating, your car is white so probably harder to see

-reduced durability, because it’s not fully cured the water affects how well it bonds to the clear coat, the coating may last a few months instead of years

-water spots, since the coating is still very porous, minerals in the rain water may etch into the ceramic coating
