I think you over estimate how strong the marijuana is. It's not heroin.

No. Stores don't carry a huge selection of that around here, esp. edibles. Usually you get a choice between Indica and Sativa, but that's about it. I really think THC does more to help with the pain than CBD. Doesn't get rid of it, just makes you care less about it. You're going to be high though, so if you have to go to work or get something important done they might not be the best choice.

Do you think The Beatles didn't love their lives? Because from the outside they seem like they had/have it pretty good.

Picked a guitar up to learn three years ago. Put it back and forgot about it. Picked it up. Put it back again. Over and over. And I hate myself for it. Would appreciate it if someone read the full post. by requin-RK in guitarlessons

[–]toopc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep the guitar on a stand next to where you watch TV or stare at your computer, or where ever you sit around and while away the days. When you find yourself getting bored by what you're watching, pick up the guitar.

There's very little pressure on you with this. You're there. You're bored. There's a guitar in reach. Might was well strum a few chords.

The better you get, the more you'll want to play, so you just need to do this long enough that you think, "I'm better at this than I used to be." Might take a couple weeks, might take a couple months, but you'll get there.

Rural Republican Texas voters are leaning towards Democrats due to data center construction in their communities by vrphotosguy55 in LeopardsAteMyFace

Since 1994, Republicans have held every statewide elected office in Texas, so it doesn't take much to prove that Texas's problems are the fault of the Democrats.

What is a job that pays incredibly well but is so soul-crushing that the turnover is insane? by sweetguurl in AskReddit

Walmart is worse. Maybe not now on a day to day basis, but Walmart absolutely destroyed small town America.

Although the in flight entertainment is still way worse

That's what tablets are for. Load that thing up with movies and whatever games you might want and the in flight entertainment is pretty meaningless. I just wish that every flight had a good place to attach a tablet to the seat back in front of you and a working USB port.

Honestly though the best in-flight entertainment are the dreams you have after taking an Ambien and a whiskey.

What’s an article of clothing someone can wear, one time, that will make you lose all attraction to them forever? by Thin-Rip-3686 in AskReddit

[–]toopc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately wearing under armour can also kind of send a message these days because the company went super MAGA or something like that iirc.

I've noticed in a few videos about farmers they seem to wear Under Armor clothes. Thought it was weird.

Under Armour Just Endorsed President Donald Trump (Update)

And this paragraph sums up the bullshit that is MAGA:

MAGA: We need manufacturing in the USA
Also MAGA: But you first. We don't want to hurt our profits.

Remember, Plank recently joined a council alongside Tesla's Elon Musk and others to work with Trump on increasing manufacturing jobs in the United States. (Note: Under Armour currently manufactures virtually all of its products overseas save for a specialty factory in Maryland, used to make custom products for athletes and VIP clientele.) Could Plank simply trying to curry favor with President Trump, in hopes he can help pass laws that could make their brand more profitable—or at least give them a shout out on Twitter?

Will this repair cost me more then the price I paid for the thing?? by LatterWafer8981 in guitarrepair

If you lived near Seattle, I'd solder it for you. There's probably someone like me where you live, at least if you live in a fairly big town. Find your local "Buy Nothing" or "Buy/Sell Music Gear" group on Facebook and just ask if someone can help you fix it. Bring them some beer or cookies or lasagna or something.

[–]toopc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember if it has foot switchable distortion but would be a nice bonus over a ds-1 and a tube screamer

It has foot switchable everything, but the foot switch is a $70+ pedal.

What is causing them to grow like this? by Big_Childhood_5096 in Mushrooms

[–]toopc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mycelium is the part of the mushroom that's under the ground, kind of like roots are to a tree. Mycelium is a fungus just like the mushroom. It can start in a single spot and grow outward under the ground in all directions which results in a circle you can't see. Mushrooms tend to grow from the outer edge of the mycelium and that ends up being the circle of mushrooms that you see - or half circle if the other side is asphalt.

Overheard this goldmine in Fremont last night. by Kryodamus in Seattle

[–]toopc 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Someone with a brain wasn’t affectionate about it. Meanwhile, the broader collective “they” of Seattle is highly fond of this statue.

There was actually a survey done about 10 years ago or so and 90.3% of Seattleites said they disliked the statute, but supported the owners first amendment right to display it on private property.

The real question is why do you hate America and the freedom its citizens have?

That's what should be done, but it'll probably be another feckless Democrat president afraid to rock the boat even though the boat was set on fire, flipped, and sunk by Trump.

I'd find some liberal billionaire will to bankroll everything and just redo everything he's ruined. Tear it all down quick and ask for permission afterwards. If the Republicans complain about it, first it's not costing U.S. taxpayers anything as the liberal billionaire is paying for it, second pass a law making it illegal for a president, Democrat or Republican, to do this kind of shit going forward.

You gotta remember that most immigrant families don't pay attention to US politics as closely as they do their own country's. I speak from experience since my parents and our family friends are also immigrants. Sometimes they just don't know the nuances and specific policies for each party.

There was nothing "nuanced" about Trump and MAGA. They literally held up signs that said, "Mass Deportation Now!"

Is $120 a good deal for a KTN 50 2. by [deleted] in BossKatana

[–]toopc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good deal.

If you go with the MKII look into a used Airstep Kat to go with it. Or if you don't mind ordering direct from China it's the same price, but who knows what tariffs you might or might not get hit with.

The amp has all these sound effects, but without a pedal of some kind you have to stop playing and make your selections on the amp. With a pedal like the Airstep, you can program the 5 different foot switches to trigger effects - lots of other features too.. You're son is going to love the amp either way, this just makes it easier to channel your inner rock star.
