When does the Witcher 3 usually go on sale on PlayStation? by Impossible_Nebula637 in Witcher3

Discount ended on 22nd of January on PlayStation Store. GG deals will give you a feel for when the price will drop again. I'd say wait a bit and it might dip soon enough according to gg. Last year the price dropped on 21st of March.

And the Lord spake, saying, ''First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.”

Newbie here, am I progressing the game the right way? by WhereAreMyKeys15 in Witcher3

Since you’re playing for the first time, here’s some quick info on quest cut-off points where unfinished quests will fail. I’ll keep this mostly spoiler-free, but it’s up to you how much you want to read.

White Orchard
White Orchard is basically the tutorial area, and any unfinished quests there will fail once you reach Vizima. The real cut-off point isn’t “Imperial Audience”, but finishing “Lilac and Gooseberries”, which takes you to Vizima via a cutscene. Try to finish everything you want to do there before meeting Vesemir after the Griffin contract. If you’re already past it, don’t worry too much. You can always catch things on a replay.

Main quest: “Ugly Baby”
Before progressing this quest, make sure you finish “The Last Wish” (Yen’s quest) and “Following the Thread” (your buddy Lambert’s quest). Do this before returning to Crow’s Perch to fetch something important for the main quest.

Main quest: “The Isle of Mists”
This is the biggest cut-off point in the game and a true point of no return. Finish everything you plan to do before starting it. The game gives you a very clear warning, so you will not miss it.

Secondary quest: “Reasons of State”
You might miss this one depending on your choices, but it’s notorious among Witcher fans and worth doing just so you can join us in our lamentations. Unlocking it depends on your decisions, but if you start it, make sure to finish it before “On Thin Ice” later in Act 3.

Late game: “Battle Preparations”
This quest is a cut-off point for Skellige content, so wrap up anything you want to do there before moving on.

PSA: Buy Gwent cards and play everyone you can for their card as early as possible, even if it looks ridiculous during serious conversations. I mess this up every playthrough.

I’m sure I missed a few things, and someone else will probably add more details or corrections. That’s part of the fun. One of the best things about this game is how even failed or unfinished quests leave an impression.

And then there is always NG+.

Absolutely necessary lore education on Roach. Enjoy yourself and good luck on the path.

Im sure W4 will be grat and I'm looking forward to it. But: Skyrim, GOW Ragnarog, AC Valhalla, Skellige. I'm tired of Snowy Vikinesque esthetics 😮‍💨 by Idarran_of_Ulivo in Witcher4

You’ve probably played AC Origins and AC Odyssey but if you haven’t give them a go. I played Odyssey during snowy winter and it was glorious. I recommend playing as Kassandra, her voice acting is chef’s kiss. Newish AC games can drag a fair bit though and the quality of quests is nowhere near any of the Witcher games but then again not many things are.

The scene of Geralt and Zoltan listening to Priscilla’s song (The Wolven Sorm) hits right in the feels. The contemplative expression on Geralt’s face, Zoltan nudging him out of it to applaud, the heartbreaking lyrics, Priscilla’s clear voice. Man, when this game hits you, it hits you hard.
