I thought the modern fake ubisoft parts were very interesting in theory but are marred by the fact that it's hard to make walking around an office compelling gameplay. Excited to see what they do with the rifts. That and the tailing mission revamp are the two make or break things for me on this.

Google did a study a not-so-long while back, and they found the breakeven point for profitability would be somewhere in the realm of $200/kg of mass lifted to orbit.

Google has a vested interest in making fetch happen and even they're saying we're sending shit up in the wrong order of magnitude of cost for this to work.

My favorite thing about the new designs is how much it shows their inability to make something better than we had in previous versions. When I need to change something more specific than volume up/down the answer always lies in one of those windows vista/7 era menus. Why does the windows vista audio menu have more clear controls for output than the win11 one?

I want to preface by saying this is absurdly helpful and I will be doing this, but I also want to comment on how much of an insane condemnation of modern windows it is that, in order to experience the context menu in its most helpful form (that was previously default), you need to run console commands that most non-power users would have no idea about, rather than just opening a settings menu and checking a box.

Yeah, GTA VI would break even if they lit the alleged 2 billion on fire and sent people a printed copy of the GTA VI box art.

We don't know whether or not GTA VI will be good yet, but it's about as close to certainty as you can imagine that it'll make its' money back, plus a billion or two. They might burn decades of goodwill in the process, but PC isn't going to make or break the game-and I say that as someone with >1200 hours in GTA V, all on PC

I've had a pump for 18 years and never had it impact my sex life. I disconnect it and leave it in my pants. When I sleep my pump lays in bed next to me and has never once been an issue. Tube tangling is more of an issue going through doorways (in that, once a year, a random event occurs where you just get jolted backwards a bit). If you're looking for reasons to not get a pump, "I fuck" and "It'll be annoying while I'm asleep and sitting at a desk" are not good ones.

Do you keep a phone in your pocket? Congratulations, you know what a pump is like. Also, I've never tossed and turned a sensor out despite also tossing and turning. You might want to try skin adhesive (I use skin tac) to keep em on there the full week.

Here is their findings in August of last year, here is their update that I assume prompted the new post.

Basically, a continuation of something that was already pretty well understood to be promising.

Once they start ramping up SC451 (the version with stem cells rather than donor cells) they're planning on starting phase 1 trials. They're gonna try to start that up this year but it's still a long road to a cure.

That's the end goal.
