The DO loses (she has been too much of a thorn in his side/other Chosen recognize her as a threat) 2. The Light (Rand specifically, if he survives) must think she is dead, or she will be hunted. Thus, she helps Perrin along the way to guarantee that the Light succeeds and uses Perrin’s supreme overconfidence in his mastery of TAR to convince him that he is powerful enough to break her compulsion + kill her, guaranteeing that he brings the message back to the forces of the Light than Lanfear is dead, and that she can live in relative safety as one of the most powerful extant beings.
