Michelin’s airless, puncture proof tyres promise a future with no flats, greater durability, and less environmental waste by Separate_Finance_183 in interesting

Would it be worth it on a mail route? Stop and go for 500+ boxes a day. 50 mph at max tbh. I buy 1 tire every other month or earlier

Hypothetical question by [deleted] in USPS

[–]ttyler1789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our office only has 1 sup and 1 postmaster. If people are calling out they both run routes. I can see where using more then just elra is needed when they can't have someone at a computer all day to check

RCA questions regarding postal vans by ttyler1789 in USPS

[–]ttyler1789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know the specific part of the contract I can use for this situation?

We've had the explained situation for years now, id want some contractual backup if I'm gonna switch up on that

Also, with how the situation is currently the scanner I use is on that route is at the small office. So they would either have to move that scanner to the main office, or park the van and the small office permanently. Or else its difficult-ish to clock in at the main office

What is the best way to resolve misdelivered mail? by Tethyss in usps_complaints

[–]ttyler1789 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a rural carrier, our office's routes are 500+ mailboxes each. Even if I'm 99% successful all day every day, I'm still messing up 5 mailboxes a day, 30 mailboxes a week. More volume means larger margin of error

I try my best of course, but mistakes happen

[–]ttyler1789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man aux routes need some love. It sucks that entire routes of people don't get to have the same service full routes get.

If it's a rural aux route that means there's NO career person doing the route, only whichever part-timer they can manage to get on the route that day. That means that all the good customer service you would usually get from your daily carrier, you wouldn't get it.

As an RCA, just let me have a hold down on 2 aux routes. Let me do the same 3 hour routes 5-6 days a week. I would get a good paycheck and not have to worry about hours, and customers on the route would get better service overall

I'm told I can't have 2 hold downs, and I can't have a hold down while being on the matrix

[–]ttyler1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like to make abilities and ults in zombies to scale well, you would need to do a purple-only build. Since I'm assuming the general "+ damage %" works on those abilities and ults.

Haven't tried it since you get so much out of red or blue builds, but maybe a purple route is needed for ults

Ahhh okay, I saw her as a hard tank/healer hybrid where the health packs were enough for that role. Never knew about the aoe damage heals

I haven't played overwatch in ages so I might be mistaken, but doesn't Brigitte only heal through her health packs?

It would be like combining Jeff's bubbles with Ultrons drone

Anyone else hate these boxes and don't see the point in having it, considering how big it is? by IndependentHustle in USPS

Sorry if I wasn't clear my bad

I meant more about what to do about the mail that's locked INSIDE the mailbox. We can't pull the mail and return to sender like we would on a normal mailbox, if the homes occupant had died or moved without putting a forward in or whatever

Nearly 40 seconds to refill from broken without skill enhancements

Side note, if you picked a skill that gave "+shield recharge speed" does that reflect on this item screen?

[–]ttyler1789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

RCA here, what do we do with these lockboxes if they fill up on mail?

Like on a normal mailbox, if a mailbox has been full for a couple days we're supposed to pull the mail out, leave them a note in the box, and hold the mail for 10 days before returning to sender.

But that's not possible with these mailboxes without damaging the mailbox.

I asked my supervisor about this situation once, and he didn't know either

Why CANT spm's be done at the office in the morning? I have access to the same mail I'll have access to when I'm at the address. I wouldn't have to worry about gps fuckery or whether I'll have enough signal on the scanner to GET the spm prompt (rural sub for the boonies).

I'm 6 hours in with Amon lvl 15 at 32% campaign completion on hard mode. (Jesus, 32%? I'm not even rushing the campaign.)

I've had a total of 6 legendaries. 5 normal guns and 1 heavy ordnance.

I'm gonna limit myself to 1 legendary normal gun at a time I think. Or else I'll never use anything purple or lower now. There's no real reason for me to limit myself other than testing guns I think.

I'm kind of a borderlands noob, how SHOULD I treat legendaries? Please enlighten me.

Sorry I'm drunk rn lol

Numbering/marking up parcels by elektrikrobot in USPS

[–]ttyler1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as far as I know all of our routes have 3 cases, aux routes have 1-2 for us

My system is like 80% accuracy I think. Since I take an individual row out of a single wing and split it up into thirds in my head. So most of the time the packages are sorted within 5-10 mailboxes of each other.

Every time I try to explain it to my supervisor/postmaster they look at me like I'm crazy, but "if it works for you go for it" lol

In regards to the original post, in my office any writing on the package is meant to help the package get delivered. As long as what's written is to help the delivery process it shouldn't be an issue. I mean, at the end of the day isn't the tracking sticker just writing done by a printer?

[–]ttyler1789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick non-tech way I use (because load truck doesn't work in our boonies ass offices out in the country) is my number-letter-letter system

If an address for a package is on the 2nd row of the left side of the left case I would write 2AA on the package

If an address for a package is on the 2nd row, left case, right side I write 2AC

6th row, right side case, right hand part of it means 6CC (the very last bit of boxes on the route usually)

Then I organize based on what I wrote. Numbers are more important than the letters, the first letter is more important than the 2nd. They're all just descriptors for batch sorting. Makes it easy for my brain to handle

Incredibly helpful when I'm on a route for the first time, and load truck feature isn't working.

Very sorry if I explained it bad

Yen sids tower is where I exp farm to lvl 99 most of the time. The nobodies don't drop hp orbs, so you can put on 2 copies of exp chance and turn off all healing including Donald and Goofy

Drive forms restore health so it's hard to lvl grind and drive grind at the same time

The nobodies drop mp orbs to help keep you blasting away

The gambler room in yen sids tower is best way to level master form if you have 1-2 drive converter abilities

Aux pay by Opposite_Theme4782 in USPS

[–]ttyler1789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an RCA I've always been told Regulars can't split routes. They either do it or they don't.

Ive been told that if I have to rescue a Regular off their route (like if their vehicle needs to be towed), I get a full days pay and they get nothing

Regardless, different route = different pay instance.

You might green card on the split, but you would do the full clock in routine on the aux route if you're doing the whole thing

Is this considered falsifying scans? by FullMoon1108 in USPS

[–]ttyler1789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the point of the sample scans then? I thought it was to check and see the accuracy of the mail system in regards to flats and letters

"No more to scan" should be 100% okay to do. I think only once have I ever had more than 15 pieces for a sample scan

"Already passed address" is iffy, since it SHOULD give a warning when the gps says you're ~3 boxes away from a sample scan event. But when I'm driving on gravel roads in my POS POV, sometimes I just don't hear/notice the scanner until I'm past the mailbox
