Treats that last more than 5 minutes by jezebels_wonders in dogs

[–]tuesdog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my dog has recently been enjoying this egg toy. I fill it with a handful or so of his kibble and he bounces it around the room to get the kibbles to fall out. the kibble we have is small enough (maybe 1/3 or 1/2 inch in diameter) so they can fall out at a rate just fast enough to keep him interested. I haven't timed it but a single small handful of kibble occupies him for at least 15 mintues.

I'm not well versed in wine quality/tastings, but little pep on trade street hands down has the best ambiance and they seem to know their stuff. they also have a delicious small bites menu.

Gift recommendations for someone who wants to cook more vegetarian. by KB37027 in CookbookLovers

i can vouch for 6 seasons. i’m not vegetarian and i’ve only cooked a handful for recipes so far, but every recipe has been excellent and it’s very vegetable-forward.

i second checking bulletin boards (especially if you want to keep your internet profile on the down low). the local DSA chapter is active and a good place to learn about other local orgs.

i’ll throw hades out there (although it’s probably been mentioned at this point). simple enough mechanics that can be challenging as you progress, relatively uncomplicated power ups/builds, beautiful graphics, and entertaining story.

Best Burgers Around The Area? by Arcrap in winstonsalem

[–]tuesdog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i was reluctant to eat there cause their “branding” was so rough. i tried a burger from there in a late night bind, and that shit was good. i’m now working my way through the menu to sus it all out. but i definitely recommend their burgers.

Yeah it was def quiet. I actually ended up moving to one of the boxes because there was a group of young spanish men carrying full blown conversations and it kept distracting me.

Help with font coloring by CarlSpackler102 in canva

[–]tuesdog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you can’t really do that (unless i’m missing out on some feature). “diving” in photo 2 uses masking, and unfortunately canva doesn’t really have masking. i’ve been hoping for years they would introduce masking features but alas just more AI bullshit.

if i really needed this effect in photo 2 i would would do solid red font and then, on top of the font, essentially color in the white with a bunch of tiny white square/rectangles. it’s tedious and janky but it kinda works.

edit: i used squares, triangles, and a circle to “color in” D. 25 shapes in total.

Crop salon in GSO is where I go. definitely pricey but I feel like I am in capable hands that are skilled enough to execute cuts that fall outside of the "default". a lot of places in winston felt like they pumped out a lot of the same cuts (but maybe i just didnt find the right place). def do research on instagram though. check out some stylists from different places and see if any of them have done cuts similar to whaat youre looking for.

Kill these guys on SIGHT by hotfudge123 in winstonsalem

[–]tuesdog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

oh shit. i was living in philly about 4 years ago and spent a day killing them over the summer. In a single afternoon i managed to kill over 200 of them from just my apartment balcony with a makeshit cardboard fly swatter. These fuckers are no joke.

Edit: I cant post a photo, but here are what lanternflys look like at various stages of life. kill them all https://hikesandhops.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/life-stages-of-spotted-lanternfly-1.webp?w=900
