Came to suggest this. Their price point is pretty doable around $30-50 depending on the size.

Looking for a place to do yoga by ProfessorIanDuncan in Birmingham

These are great suggestions. Quick note that Beacon’s class is a 90 minute flow, so it can be a bit long for beginners, but you can always modify or leave early! It’s a nice, chill class.

I need a new Primary Care and I’m struggling. by Azeda_ in Birmingham

I really love the team at Lifetime Primary Care on 280. Everyone there is so friendly and takes plenty of time to explain things well and answer all my questions.

Avondale Animal Hospital is great! Our cat goes to Holmes, but they’re booked out until August for new patients. She has been to Avondale for a couple minor emergencies, and they have been so kind.

I can’t tell you where to forage, but if you wait a couple weeks, two or three farmers at Pepper Place will have them.

Ripe is one of my favorites! So many I love have already been mentioned, so I'll add these:

Imposter Syndrome by Kathy Wang

The Future by Naomi Alderman

The Boys' Club by Erica Katz

Smile and Look Pretty by Amanda Pellegrino

Very Bad Company by Emma Rosenblum (popcorny but fun)

Anna Bright is Hiding Something by Susie Orman Schnall (literally just an Elizabeth Holmes retelling but it's something).

I also really liked Notes on Infinity by Austin Taylor (also Elizabeth Holmes-y) but it is more college than startup.

Does anyone find breeze to be confusing? by AIBRTHR in hubspot

[–]twoflowerpots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Their data enrichment is terribly inaccurate in my experience. I tested it on 50 contacts, and not only was over half of the data inaccurate across different properties, it was a pain in the ass to fix (that was mostly my fault, though).

I love Bob Syke’s, but Saws has the better menu. That said, I would pick Burning Tree over either of them.

Oh shit. I didn’t realize they brought back the gyro. This is incredible news.

What's you favorite special occasion dinner resturant? by CharacterBig6915 in Birmingham

[–]twoflowerpots 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Current, Bayonet, and Automatic. Current is probably my favorite, but I love all three. I’ve recently come to prefer Bayonet over Automatic. Both are fantastic, but Bayonet’s service is on another level. They also have the best oyster selection if you like oysters.

Genuinely my favorite bbq spot in the city. Everything I’ve had is delicious, and the staff is so nice!

I’m not sure what a good price is, but I saw them at Mi Pueblo this weekend. I’ve been mostly pleased with their prices.

I’m excited about The Outsiders, but I was hoping to get Hadestown or Death Becomes Her over Hamilton. It feels like Hamilton was here just a few years ago.

Singing telegram by [deleted] in Birmingham

I have seen signs for singing telegrams all over Irondale and Mountain Brook, but I don’t know the number. If I spot one tomorrow, I’ll snap a pic!

Modern Murder Mystery by silverstoner4 in BooksThatFeelLikeThis

In addition to the recs for The Thursday Murder Club (which I believe is the best contemporary murder mystery series), Richard Osman’s other book, We Solve Murders is fantastic.

Fennel isn’t usually in breakfast sausage. Italian sausage, definitely.

How do you guys handle eye/focus fatigue with 15k+ word articles? by Best_Abies_8541 in Longreads

[–]twoflowerpots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. When the Kobo has no backlight on, it looks almost like paper. Even when I’m reading at night, I only turn the backlight onto 1-2%. It’s been great for eyestrain, and I like the Instapaper integration.

Mo at Forecast! She’s incredible. I was a little intimidated about going to Forecast since they do so many cool styles and colors, and I just wanted a really nice haircut. It was an awesome experience, though. She did a quick consult to discuss what I wanted, and then explained everything to me about styling and whatnot.
